Like, Im just really stuck on how Rex could have the position that its unreasonable to not be town read with a few bullshit RVS posts followed by a massive chain of questionable reasoning.

A lot of what I try to do as town is understand how someone has drawn the conclusions they have and with them specifically I hit a hard wall of "this person is just faking a position and flailing when questioned"

Its not just that one time. There is multiple pieces where they draw conclusions I just do not get. Like Me being aligned with Mikal. Im pretty clear about exactly how I feel about that. I can quote myself from that thread but it feels dirty even dragging that into this discussion.

I will say that I really dislike the reasoning for this vote. You're only not voting rex because they town read you.

If rex flips mafia then take a hard look at mikal for that vote

Helz reads me as annoying but not scum. I kind of agree with magic. I think scum are likely letting us ride off the tracks with the rex lynch. Would not surprise me if they are not engaging in any of these pushes.

tell me why krypton, neon, and xenon are all that different. Outside of Oganesson and Helium, all the noble gases are essentially the same character, the only common use for them i know is one they all share: they make the signs glow. I doubt Pie went ultra-specific with an obscure use that one random metal or noble gas has that the others don't. if some claims have their uses as justifications, it gonna be common uses and as such, the character pool is effectively far less than 118

i think helz is town. and his read on rex seems very passionate, if for some reason rex was town i feel like helz as scum knowing this wouldnt be pushing this so hard. and he is making good posts in regards to rex. i am willing to go with this because helz seems very townie and is using good arguments and logic

And you don’t think there is a chance Pie thought of that and included some less commonly discussed elements? If I were designing this game, I would choose the elements randomly.

The problem I'm having with Mikal is the motivation for why they are voting where they are. If you are voting someone just because they scum read you then this is classic OMGUS and at this point in the day phase is strong wolf motivation

However, I am seriously saying it now: thinking this is how I play as scum and not exploring other reasons I could be acting erratic is retarded. I don't think Helz is retarded. Because his scumplay is literally not post, be inactive, and not draw attention to himself. Hes been memey and engaging when I feel like a scum him would be doing what Casey and others are doing and just go under the radar.

not really. If I'm designing a game, I'm not gonna explore a deep dive into how Xenon is oh so different from Krypton. If the differences are that obscure, then they're not unique. I'm gonna use the more unique elements to have a greater array of variety.
