Yeah this is what I'm currently struggling with. My lingering doubt is if you're town, what was scum's plan for your Strengthener? If Thoth is scum here, he knew that if he let you live, he might have to go into LYLO with me saying I saw him visit Pie and you saying you strengthened me. That's a tough corner to be in, he has no choice but to 1v1 me hard. It's like they weren't worried about your Strengthener. I'm weighing whether scum would've been afraid of Pie enough -- or maybe confident enough that you would be wary enough to waive Strengthener -- to let you live into LYLO. Maybe I should also factor in that scum knew wylted would flip 1x Watcher, which gives them an advantage in 1v1 with me.

I’m not denying that wylted is smart enough to bus. A Pie/wylted scum team wouldn’t have necessarily shared my reasons for VTNLing or why I wouldn’t have bussed.
I just don't understand why you would want to buy another DP rather than kill scum. Is your argument that even though we knew he was scum, it was advantageous to gather more intel with another night's worth of night actions? But his death and his flip would've been advantageous as well, and your whole plan was predicated on the idea that you could stop the NK, which would only have worked if scum targeted you. That's just a high risk, low reward strategy.

Gun to my head it would probably be Thoth. The more I think about it, I just can't shake the notion that if you were scum you would've just said that you strengthened me and thus my negative result on Pie must be a lie. I feel like that would be more than enough to get me lynched here. I don't know why they weren't worried about your Strengthener but it could be some unknowable turn of scumchat, idk. Also behaviorally you're coming across pretty townie to me this DP. And I actually didn't even see Thoth's VTNL on DP2 lol. I thought he was just inactive. I should probably think about this more, my reasoning may be too wifom-y. But that's where I'm leaning rn.

looking at d3, it seemed pie had placed the most fos on me and thoth going into lylo. so there is a good chance the pie kill was done as a frame or if its thoth as a means to not go into lylo with someone who actively suspicious of him. hard to say tho

I may have missed something, but, after looking over the endgames for Ruyi Zhuan and Suikoden, the only repeats I found were two 1x Jailers and two variants of a game-specific role called (High) Adjudicator in Ruyi Zhuan.
I guess that makes Wryly’s claim of being a Watcher at least slightly plausible. In a Pie game, I would have turbolynched her just for that.

Re: the VTNL thing. Yes, my logic was to extend the game by a DP to get more investigative results. That should go without saying. Now that I think about it, it probably would have been wiser to lynch wylted immediately and VTNL later. My VTNL/Commuter play was too risky. But I did it.

ok… hopefully you can be on a lot tomorrow bcuz I think we should make a decision tomorrow before too late and i don’t feel we have progressed too much yet, this isn’t a good sign for lylo
i know wryly is busy with her gran so i understand her distance this phase but it feels like both her and Thoth are just not really in this last dp. Thoth was like this the whole game but wryly was actively complaining about activity for most of the game just to kind of… not be here so idk what to make of that or if im over thinking it.
starting to question town reading her. this is lylo and there’s no sense of urgency whatsoever

Banana's analysis today has been good, in my opinion. There's just not much context from previous day phases to put it in.
I'm very sus of Wryly because of her claim's overlap with wylted's JOAT and because her interactions with wylted come off as theatrical to me. I think the WIFOM of why Wryly and wylted did or didn't do certain things, like in post #86, can be explained by a dysfunctional scum team.
Although, now that I think about it, Banana's claim is really fucking scummy and could just be her straight-claiming. Not sure I buy her claim as town more than Wryly overlapping with wylted, though.
