What do you think of pies claim?

Judging only from the information in the flipped role cards since I am not a From fan, Pie's claimed justification is weaker than Rex's or Kohai's. I also thought the writing style had a tinge of ChatGPT-esque je ne sais quoi, but that might be evidence in Pie's favor since the cards were at least partially AI-generated. It's an average-weak claim, if you ask me. I did not visit Magic, so I can't question that.

I think kohais unwillingness to lynch him was pretty evident of their association ngl. Scum kohai kills pie there all day. At the bare minimum if pie was town, then it was kohais plan to recruit him, either way, not a good look for pie.

They knew Kohai was Yakuza and probably that he would use it that night. Why buddy Pie so strongly? However bad Kohai’s decisions are when he makes them, Pie would surely have coached him.

He wasn't buddying him, he was avoiding having to deal with him. Does scum kohai do that? Why? Pie is like kohais biggest threat when he is scum. Not only did he avoid lynching pie when magic said he was willing if we could secure one more vote, but pie was also not using the same logic in lynching you that he has always used to lynch kohai. The pairing isn't just one way is the problem, its both. Scum!pie can't lynch kohai because they need the yakuza to go off, so by proxy he is forced in a situation where he can't risk bussing. And Scum!Kohai has no incentive to lynch pie when there is a mislynch available, and he won't be around to pay for the consequences of his vote the next day. If pie gets lynched now, they can still survive off of whoever they yak'ed. No reason not to take the mislynch there. He had us by the balls because he was online and chose not to vote pie. Why would he care? We almost had a no lynch, and i waited until literally the last minute to hammer. Why would he risk no lynching over lynching pie? He couldn't have accounted for me caving at the end there. Why even risk it?

I mean if you want to explore elsewhere that's fine, we have plenty of time. But don't dismiss all the behavioral evidence against pie because you are getting weary about the push in that direction; There's well substantiated reasoning for it. It's not like we are just tenneling him for the sake of tunneling.

It seems kinda obvious the role mechanic or whatnot that would’ve been revealed to us is the Yakuza thing. There’s also a possibility Kohai was tailored, in which case that’s a pretty big brain play and whoever did it deserves a medal, although I consider this unlikely (remember I wasn’t paying much attention to the day chat yesterday so behavioural reasons aren’t the reason), because giving scum a Tailor only to allow town on D1 to negate that role by finding out it exists is really weird. Yakuza makes way more sense.

It’s possible, yesterday I thought Pie’s screaming and yelling was Townish but Pie tends to be able to replicate his Town meta as scum so I’m nt sure how much value to put in this.

Another thing I noticed is that, nowhere in Kohai’s role card does it say his ability precludes the use of a night kill, and yet we had no night kill last night. Thoughts? The Doctor died day 1 and I find very unlikely he was Tailored.

I will say Thoth doesn’t seem especially scummy to me.

I think Lunatic was most probably Town yesterday (dunno about today). I think the whole conundrum with Kohai and shit seems too convoluted for a scum plan, and it also doesn’t help that Kohai flipped Yakuza which obviously frames him

Kohai would not have committed suicide like that unless he was afraid of being pushed

What else?

I’m considering role claiming, because on second thought there are ways my role claim won’t help scum at all

investigative. That was the one way you could be town. You weren’t producing scumreads so you could avoid the usual NP1 fearkill.

idk about yakuza mind games yet, but first thought is that I find it hard to believe they chose you based on the situation.

*you avoided producing scumreads to avoid being an annoyance to the scum team, because you were trying to avoid a fearkill, so you could get value out of your role.

You were town DP1, no doubt about that.

there is a real chance Kohai kept you alive to Yakuza you, now that I think about it.

There’s an incentive to Yakuza you bc you’re Pie. But there’s also an incentive to avoid choosing you bc of how scumread you were. It’s a ballsy play for sure. But Kohai could’ve quick hammered you and then yakuza’d someone else. He didn’t.

Admittedly, there’s mind games Kohai could play with that, too. By allowing you two to seem very paired, it does more to setup the Pie mislynch DP2. I don’t know if that’s too high level of a play for Kohai or not. It’s possible it’s not, and there’s a strong player as Kohai’s teammate.

I’ll revisit you later.

This role looks scary lol. So it turns a Town player into scum is what I understand but dies doing it?
Yes. I have only seen it before on here in Lunatic’s Alien game, where Casey was town but Tailored to a Yakuza.

Re: Tailoring someone into a yakuza. This is only possible if the tailor allows players to edit alignment. I don’t know if Banana would do that, considering that the previous tailor, the one Lunatic and I had last game, didn’t grant the ability to do that.

If it is a tailor, that seems like a play specifically designed to screw Pie, taking advantage of how paired Kohai-Pie looked.

If it is a tailor, then this post really looks like TMI.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a yakuza that doesn’t require scum to forfeit their night kill upon usage. The tailor Lunatic and I had last game was only usable on our night kills, because it was a *night* action.

Kohai + Pie. Kohai yakuzas someone, who is a watcher. That someone is now Pie’s teammate. Pie claims that someone’s role.

Being investigative wouldn't help pie as there is an unclaimed cop as well.

However taking a step back to consider things is maybe a good ideal.

The counter to a cop would be a yakuzu and the miller so it's unlikely scum have a godfather. But I also think that Yakuza is a strong enough role that you could punish the person recruited by removing their vote for the next day. Which would point to Mikal/lunatic.

The associative tells between Kohai and pie are strong though. I also think lunatic taking a stand against pie created some behavior that felt off from pie. It felt like acting from Pie if that makes sense.

We have time to think about this though

Or watcher is a fake claim and pie was always scum. I can’t see past him and kohai seemingly having no interest in each other, especially with knowledge Kohai was not only scum but a Yakuza.

Another thing to consider is we already have an investigative if Wylted is telling the truth than there has to be a cop. One scum was a yakuza, I imagine the other scum would be the counter to the cop. A watcher on top of that seems a bit OP. Keep in mind banana had three vanillas in her last game. We’ve only got me you and mago unaccounted for. I think we all know what Thoth is. Idk thinking about the balance a watcher is harder for me to believe but it’s possible

Character: Jade Herrera
Role: Watcher
Justification: I see connections that others overlook and through them, discover the secrets of the town

NP1: I watched Mag1c cause he was was my top town read. Didn’t see anyone visit him.
Why was magic your top town read? Because he didn't vote you at EOD? lol. Why wouldn't you protect thoth or wylted who were more likely hinting power roles?

I explained last DP why Mag1c was my top townread. I read Wylted as Dreamer which is why I didn’t watch him. Thoth, I still didn’t like what he did at the beginning. And the aspect of his and Wylted’s role not jiving according to him wasn’t a point in his favor. He also seemed like the obvious target so there was some WIFOM there as well.

Thats just not true. Scum Kohai would be getting 2 free mislynches by taking out REF there over Pie. If he goes Pie, then REF could conceivably come back tomorrow and that avenue is gone. Here, he had the association with me.
