Thats the exact WIFOM pie could have been hoping people would buy into. Not saying it’s him but ignoring two players as recruit options is kind of dumb at this stage. Who the hell knows what they did. Should be open minded about all options instead of narrowing down and tunneling two.

Mikal being at the top of this list of players in the “1 vs. 4” implies that Mikal is scum.

Notice the double space in “1 vs. 4” as well as mislynch being abbreviated as “ml”… both of these things match exactly with how Mikal types.

Btw, my role was another reason why I would’ve hammered Pie before the DP closed, had someone not beat me to it. I can buy some higher investigative power than normal this game bc of the yakuza, but watcher, cop, little boy, plus magaorth’s weird role was way too much. You need to take out one of the big ones and that ended up being Pie’s “watcher”

Spending all that time delaying giving my thoughts out has another benefit: It attracts a Sus onto me. I know this bc I was wrongly tunneled for it by Savant in Game Shows Mafia.

And if I’m being sussed, it means I stay alive to gain a second result. My first result wasn’t the jackpot I was looking for.

Earlier last DP, I said to Magoroth, “You have to argue Pie recruited me and tried to cover me by claiming watcher. Good luck arguing that.” Something like that; I don’t remember the post number. But Magoroth had expressed a Sus on me for “TMI” so I wrote my response specifically so that he’d keep sussing me, maybe get a Sus from some else.

Pie was always going to be the lynch that DP, so it was low risk.

The last behavior of mine I’m going to point out is my “claim” from yesterday, where I said “I targeted Lunatic, my action failed, and I think it was a roleblock because it wasn’t a commuter.”

This had two purposes. First, no one with an important role claims their roleblock, they keep it hidden. By signaling that I don’t have an important role, I improve my odds of not being the NK. Secondly, it leaves a legacy. If Lunatic were to make the mistake of claiming commuter in the event of me being NK’d, he would be immediately outed by flip and my quote. Scum Lunatic wouldn’t be likely to make a mistake, but it was the best I could with my NP1 result. So you can see why I wanted a second result so badly.

You can mislynch me, but you have to make sure you get Mikal next DP, because I feel confident it’s him.

To minmax you should lynch Mikal first anyway. Otherwise he could use his role to make himself unvoteable. Given that chats and common sense, it’s unlikely that he has a second usage of it, or that Banana would allow the role to be used in LYLO. But it’s a risk I’d rather not take.

stalling the DP had two benefits:

1. I get my thoughts out
2. People mistakenly Sus me, improving my chances of staying alive and getting another result

but of all the people who would Sus me for that, you’re the one person who shouldn’t. You saw me do it as town in Game Shows Mafia. You took advantage of it when Savant tunneled me for it in that game.

Magics role is a lot to process, but I’m not as convinced it nails scum in Mikal down. I think all of us have abbreviated mislynch as ml before and the spacing thing is kind of a meh argument. That said I agree that Mikal’s role as scum is horrible for LYLO. I have trouble wrapping my head around why scum would have recruited Casey unless they were asking the mod to replace that slot in advance or something.

Anyways I’m going to bed soon so I will think about this with a fresh mind tonight.

I didn’t claim to be roleblocked I said the only gambit I could hope to play would be to hope to be roleblocked or killed, since it would waste a night action. Neither happened to my knowledge

I think it’s a pretty strong indicator. Now combine that with my analysis of Pie’s incentives in #685, and you have a pretty strong scum case.

But pie claimed he watched magic. From his pov at the time. Let's say he used his ability on magic redirect etc. If he was caught visiting him, he would have an excuse that he visited. Which would make no sense if magic was scum

Giving pie watcher would give him a reason to be seen on magic if it happened
