Perhaps, but he stuck to you. I like Lunatic on behavior, I'll say that. But in the same way DP1 I saw a world where Thoth was always your first choice and Kohai was second, I can see a world where Lunatic kept his sus on Kohai but was always gonna push you first. Worth noting.

I would've hammered you all day every day if I were scum. Last game, I pushed to get you lynched, and then killed you when I couldn't lol. Even if you stopped sussing me that game, it was worth killing you just so that you couldn't argue your way out of a lynch. You are the master of that.

Kohai was one of two original scum. Miller and cop go hand-in-hand, so odds are Thoth and Wylted confirm each other as OG town. Unless we really think Wylted pulled off a crazy big brain play. Wylted is capable but he loves his PGO/miller shenanigans, so I doubt it. He also hinted that he was miller before everyone entered thread, so he probably is just a real miller.

Mago

I don't know what to think of his claim or the timing of it. He followed his scum meta DP1, and with his partner being a yakuza, he would need to survive that DP.

Mikal

His claim is interesting. Given that it's in the game, Banana clearly had no problem with it being scum. The question is if she gave it to scum or if it were designed to be a role that scum could pick up. If it's the latter, not Mikal.

Mag1c is pure big brain. I can see the strategy with him and Kohai at EOD. Goal was to get REF so they could kill two birds with one stone and the switch to Pie was theatric. I think this is unlikely though, and my townread of him during DP1 was pretty solid.

Also, you referring to yourself in the 3rd person gives me the impression you may have copy-pasted this from the scum chat. If this is the case, I expect a higher-level player to be with you in scum chat. I don't think a lower-level player would help you write a convincing reads list. You don't need the help, but I think you would accept it from a higher-level player.

Wylted is an interesting one. He’s pulled this Miller ploy before when he was scum with Luna. They basically cruised to the win in that game. I can see the same thing here. Take the fake claims. Soft claim Dreamer early and then come out with Miller.

He did this before? Wait, as in he claimed miller at the start, or that he faked something, then claimed miller later?

Thoth also is interesting, but is reliant upon Wylted. In certain ways they’re intertwined. I don’t think Thoth can be the OG if Wylted is telling the truth about Miller.

Mago I can see being the OG scum. He was in the shadows (normal scum meta). The dynamic between him the Kohai was non existent. The questioning about Yakuza also came off a bit disingenuous to me, especially with the side quest of Tailor. No reason to believe there’s a Tailor or anything similar

Yup. Although I don't find his tailor musings to be completely unfounded. It's worth exploring, especially since it existed last game. This one would have to function differently than the last, sure, but I don't blame Magoroth for exploring the idea.

Mikal is hard to judge as OG scum from posts. Only thing there to read is Kohai chose REX over Casey/Mikal initially. The role Mikal has though is really powerful for scum if used correctly. It basically reduces a town vote. At 3-2 LYLO, town instantly loses because they lose the ability to gain a majority. Magistrate is also an exotic role. We have Watcher, Miller, Doctor, Cop, and then a Magistrate?

True. Saying it again, Banana is ok with scum having this role. Question is if she wanted scum to have it from the start, or if it were something cool scum could pick up. I somewhat lean toward the latter on mod psych, as the role has plenty of usage on either town or scum that way. I know if I gave a scum a recruitment mech, I would try to give town roles that would be like prizes for mafia recruiters. But my mind is open.

As for all the power roles town has: I can see them all with a yakuza in play. A recruitment isn't a roleblock, but since you change someone's affiliation, you prevent them from outing you as scum DP2 if they have a result. And if night actions process how I think, scum's recruit target shouldn't be ruled guilty the night they were recruited. I am asking Banana about this. It's not just relevant here; it's also relevant for the case against you.

@Pie let's start with this post. First, there's a small chance that you are OG scum and just tried to gamble a watcher claim. Although it is unlikely bc your DP1 behavior does match watcher. Unless you picked up what I was putting down last DP and are playing to that as scum by claiming watcher.

If you're (Pie) OG scum, you're probably recruiting either Mikal, me, or Lunatic. Thoth is an option just to find out his role. Magoroth and Wylted are for mindgames only. But given the four candidates already here, I doubt you'd go for mindgames by recruiting Magoroth or Wylted.

If you picked up Thoth was investigative, then he's a fantastic option. Problem is, he's hard bussing you rn with results and I don't think he has to do that.

So me, Lunatic, or Mikal. I can't speak on myself outside of what I've already said; I know I'm town.

Lunatic or Mikal? Lunatic not bussing you would be sus. And you know that. So you're signing up to be bussed if you recruit him. That leaves Mikal. Best option for you IMO.

Although if Mikal and I are the only good options, maybe you would try some mindgames. Although yeah, Magoroth was sussed so that's even more mindgames. And Wylted doesn't have a good role to take, unless you genuinenly thought he was dreamer. hmm. Your posts seem to indicate you did. But you could also just pay Wylted a visit then. Although you'd risk him actually being a PGO. Not a bad risk to take considering the situation tbh. Odds seem low he was actually PGO.

Also for Thoth, why pressure him so much DP1 if you can just figure him out upon recruiting? Unless you were scouting for something to recruit? You (Pie) would've pressed even more people for info at that point tho... so I don't think that was your plan.

Getting back to this. Now let's assume Magoroth is OG scum. Who does he have the most incentive to recruit? Figuring out what Thoth's role is would be good, although Thoth isn't one of the site's strongest players.

Given that he was going for Pie last DP, it makes little sense for him to want Pie. He could, sure, but it's not what looks like his plan was. So from scum Magoroth's POV, he probably wants to recruit someone who helps him lynch Pie. If Thoth has an investigative, that could produce damaging results on Pie.

But Lunatic has been on Pie all game long. Why not him? The downside is that if he isn't investigative, then someone could clear Pie or show him guilty. Same goes for Mikal. I can see Magoroth misunderstanding the timing of investigatives in the order of operations, and then recruiting someone not realizing an investigative could still pop them. But that leaves the issue of Pie being cleared.

Unless Magoroth has framer. Then, he can recruit someone like Lunatic or Mikal, without having to recruit Thoth. I imagine Magoroth in particular would be less likely to visit Wylted, with his PGO mindgames. Unless Kohai picked up on it. But then they know he's a miller and wouldn't want to recruit him.

That presents another avenue for manipulation by the way. A deflector could take any role that targets Pie and move it to Wylted.

So, Lunatic, or Mikal? Mikal has just been replaced in. Lunatic will help mislynch Pie. I think Mikal is the slightly better option because Lunatic being on Pie is already guaranteed this DP, basically. While Lunatic was widely townread, that, in a way, means he's not as likely, due to mindgames. Mikal can get himself townread. And with town's focus on Pie, Mikal isn't going to be the next lynch.

Moving onto Mikal.

Once again, Wylted is a poor option. Unless Mikal thought dreamer. I guess Magoroth could have too. But then Wylted claiming miller when he did is just strange. He still claimed it before so many people did... but he could've asked about it using the questions format. I guess he's a mindgames option, but eh. Why not just disturb Wylted then? I don't think Magoroth or Mikal are as limited as Pie in their options, so going for mindgames with Wylted isn't as appealing for either of them.

Thoth, Lunatic, or Pie?

I can see Mikal using his voting role to throw a sus on Lunatic while ensuring he doesn't vote for Pie, hoping to save Pie that way. But if that were his plan, wouldn't he have concealed his ability and not claimed? So probably not Pie. But going for Lunatic ties both together. There's Thoth, who has an investigative, but can scumslip/tmislip easily.

Well, Lunatic and I did get away with stting up the easy win and we tied ourelves together. I can see Mikal taking Lunatic over Pie, over Thoth. I think Mikal in particular wouldn't want Thoth. He knows Thoth's potential to slip and knows it bluntly. But then again, if he's the OG scum, this looks like a plot against Pie.

I don't think he's take Magoroth based on him being sussed by me last DP.

He wouldn't go for Pie bc he has to bus Pie anyway. So Lunatic would go for someone who can help him mislynch Pie. Depends on what Lunatic thought THoth had. Wylted could help him with it if he thought Wytled was dreamer. And his buddy Mikal is always an option. Just replaced in, so not sussed, can get himself townread, and depending on what Lunatic has, they can just frame Pie or do some other manipuating.

I don't think Mikal used his ability when they were scummates. Only if Mikal was OG scum. It depends on how the yakuza works. But the threat of dreamer is extreme. But Lunatic could disturb Wylted. But that leaves Pie open to be cleared by investigatives. I guess he could argue that Pie shielded himself from investigatives. And deflect Pie to Wylted shuts down a dreamer and implicates Pie if Wylted's miller. But I don't think I want to bet on a deflector specifically. So odds are Lunatic would've been scared by the dreamer potential.
