So the President publicly calls for the prosecution of James Comey. The US attorney he hired refuses on the basis that there's no evidence of a crime. Trump fires that federal prosecutor and replaces them with an insurance lawyer who's never prosecuted anyone before and who also happens to be one of Trump's personal attorneys. Trump then publicly and explicitly tells his attorney general to get this done. Then Comey is indicted.

Global warming was given it's name because that's what's actually happening in totality. But the effects are far more complicated. The entire earth doesn't experience the same proportional result, some places will experience intense heat, others will experience extreme cold, others drought, etc. It will be felt differently everywhere, that's why climate change is a better name for it.

Because it involves the president of the United States and takes place in a building where world leaders gather. The amount of eyes on everything in places like this are not comparable to the security at your local Walmart. And as soon as people start collaborating, the chances of others finding out grows exponentially.

Also, yes this would be a serious risk. Anyone who was in a position to oversee the equipment being used by world leaders would be considered highly entrusted. Engaging in purposeful sabotage would not only easily result in their firing bit also their ostracization from their industry. Everyone had probably on more than one occasion walked up a still escalator. I used to work in a job where our customers had to ride one up to the second floor. For us, following escalator protocols was a normal workday occurrence. This isn't the one in a million event you are imagining it to be.

The difference between Biden and Trump is that when Biden would get confused he would know it.
