All human beings are the same genus and species just like dogs. Dogs all look a lot different because they've had to adapt to their environments. And people are the same. You start thinking one is better than the other.It's probably because you prefer a breed more than another.

I know you guys feel like you have to come in here and tell every single person on every single post that there's no god and you're an atheist and pat yourself on the back. We appreciate your contribution. Perhaps that frees up some other atheist to post on some other topic.
Using she to refer to the creator doesn't impress me.The creator has no sex or gender. Deities do. Almost every creation myth involves males.
Anything that exists outside of natural law is not of creation and not something that should be acceptable. And this isn't geared towards atheists, they are perfectly acceptable to be that.
There's obviously overlap between religious and spiritual practices. But religion does imply in organized group, worshiping someone or something. Spiritual implies that you are doing things to improve yourself without involving the regimented practice of a group and probably could imply not working with a deity. Religious practices would be prayers, worship service attendance, holy day observance, probably even a hierarchy of priests to worshipper. Spiritual would be things like meditation, perhaps a physical practice like tai chi or yoga, mantras. Like I said, there can be overlap. You can be Buddhist and meditate, and you can be Hindu and do Yoga, and you can be Christian and work with crystals.
I just went over to debateart and copied a paragraph I wrote a long time ago about free will because I didn't feel like trying to rewrite it.
Free Will is contradictory to an omniscient God and it's contradictory to life in general whether an omniscient God exists. Freedom is one thing. Free Will is another entirely. If we had free will then we could make whatever choices we want and follow through on them. We can't for all sorts of reasons money, attitude, upbringing, place of birth, type of government in our country. There's a reason psychology exist because people are predictable animals. We rarely if ever change and we rarely if ever step outside our comfort zone. You're freedom lets you to make choices in regards to what you eat, who you marry, if you have kids, in some way where you live and what you do. Free will to make any choice you want to, at any time, no matter what, does not exist. We are slaves to nature and nurture

Freedom and free will are not the same thing. We cannot do everything that we want. There are all kinds of restrictions on what we can and can't do. We are unable to control forces outside of ourselves. There is no free will.
2 isn't 1+1. Two is a designated amount. Other designated amounts may fit inside two. In other words, two ones fit inside two. You can't just decide to change the amounts that numbers are. They are actually one of the most solid principles in the physical world.

Weapons are dangerous in general. Guns can hurt more people at a time and more mortally. But obviously knives kill people pretty well too.

I don't believe in free will
I'm surprised it made the news with no gun involved. But in the US evil black career criminal randomly stabs a white immigrant is all full of political drama. Both sides can find ways to twist it.
Reasonable taxation is necessary for a civilization to run. But America taxes the crap out of people, I think income tax is out right theft
God or religion isn't forbidden in schools but restricted in being taught or forced on students by staff or the school. Religious clubs can be lead by students. Comparative religion is allowed in schools. Students can pray at any time as long as they are not disrupting class or the school day. Religion is a part of culture and should be addressed when it's appropriate to a political situation. Teaching kids religion means nothing isn't being realistic.
The Bible has it's own myths about serpents. It's not special or different then other religions.
The earth doesn't need to be saved. Even if people die, the earth will continue to go on.
There are obviously conditions where you need to see a doctor. But hospitals are figuring out there are alternative medicines that actually help people. If in no other way, stress and anxiety. For instance, I don't bother going to the hospital for a kidney stone unless I have severe pain or a fever. They often give me something for the pain. Make sure there's no blockage, and then send you home to pass it. In those circumstances, I find apple cider vinegar and dandelion tea to be a godsend.
