I um don't understand why you keep saying gods and spirits need offerings to do your spell. But then you say you don't need to use them. I'm not sure I understand but I'm not here to argue about it.

Energy makes spells work. Whether it's energy from the herbs, crystals, spices, the elements you're calling on or a deity. Atheist witches often believe in spirit, and they call on their ancestors or nature spirits to help with a spell. I can't think of any spell that I would want to do.That's restricted, because i'm not calling on a deity. Witchcraft is a practice. It doesn't have to involve anything other than you. Everything you use in a spell helps to focus it but it's not necessary. With all that said everyone can do what they want in the way of spell work. I just don't want people assuming the way you're describing it is how everyone does it because the way you talk about spell work is unique compared to most of the conversations I have about it.

This is not how every person believes spells work. This is one person's interpretation. Witchcraft does not have to have any gods in it. You can do spells without invoking a deity at all.

Other religions don't necessarily have a heaven and hell. Be dumb for them to describe something that doesn't even exist in their religion.

One god does. There are a variety of afterlife stories.

You can almost always find a spell where you can substitute local herbs from ones that are more exotic or not in your area. The best spells are the ones you do yourself because they're full of your own intent. Researching ingredients for a spell is half the fun and doing one.

I think without all the light pollution the night sky was amazing and much clearer than today. I think people use images that are closest to what they see. A ship is a cloud, a bright light is fire (burning bush), etc.

I agree. You find shadow work, growth, healing, empowerment, self reflection, all of which can suck while doing it. All it never stops. But you are more comfortable on yoyr skin each time. Like a snake sheading.

I think people see faith all wrong. People think of faith as trust in something outside us. Faith is a trust and belief in ourselves. I have faith on my experiences. Not in others.

At this point, atheists are claiming that some atheists figured out they could manipulate the mentally ill, which seems to be everybody but them, and started religion and now their complaining religion exists.

Every culture on the planet has a spiritual or religious background that predates written history. Its the atheist perspective this is based on mental illness, drugs or an atheist conman/ power monger.

You're applying modern day concepts and your view of sexuality to ancient mythical spiritual texts. Lots of things can represent penises, vaginas, and testicles, it doesn't mean if they're in a story that's what the stories about. Serpents, depending on the culture, represent all kinds of things and never just penises. There's a deeper spiritual meaning to the story than just Adam and Eve had sex. But I don't expect anyone who thinks spirituality and religion are stupid to have any sort of deep thoughts on it. And talking dirty should be reserved for your spouse and not be forced on the rest of us here, trying to have a conversation.
