There is a difference in religious leaders and voters and government endorsing and forcing religion. That's language not woke.

How does Einstein being an a atheist or science effect personal experience? That's like saying I can't love my kids cause math.

Again, not sure what any of that means to anybody. Science and religion are completely unrelated, and you could list every single scientist on the planet and tell me they're atheists, and it means nothing. Just like someone could list every theist on the planet that's done good works and it means absolutely nothing.
Believing the gods are powerful beings, and they can do things for you, especially when it comes to making sure you have food to feed your family and village, is a lot different than just assuming their good or overlooking their evil behavior. Let's say you have a professor in college who's excellent in his field and you're getting a lot of great education from him. But you find out he sleeps with his students. You have a choice. You can continue to keep your mouth shut and learn from him. Or you can turn him in. Working with certain deities would require you to do the first. There's a reason that there are deities today that people don't worship at all. There's way more choice in polytheism in what you do and don't do, because society no longer looks at the gods as controlling the natural world as much as they did then.

Not sure what listing the name of other atheists does for anybody. The fact that Einstein or Hawking were atheists, or not, doesn't mean anything. Just like listing, Martin Luther King, Jr was Christian doesn't mean anything to anybody either.

Well, you can lie to yourself all you want to, but you're not gonna push that off on anyone else.
Deities are beings and as such have failures. Some are even evil. Zeus comes to mind. Most polytheists know the worlds work on chaos and order. Chaos disrupts which is sometimes necessary. The order tends to bring peace and complacency. You need both to keep things moving forward. Good and evil exists in both states.
There's no such thing as a benevolent god. Even the God of Abraham killed everybody in a flood. If that doesn't say i'm not benevolent, I don't know what does.
Why?
Why do prople think that the gods have nothing to do all day but make sure we arr happy and safe? They have things to do too.

You know exactly what's meant by separation of church and state. You wanting to look cool to Christians doesn't impress anyone.

Thanks
Ok

It's weird that Satan, who I don't think is even a demon, would have a Trident. Since Tridents are associated with Poseidon and forks are associated with Hades. So technically, devils should carry forjs.

I believe all deitied exists and Im a secularist. Secularism has nothing to do with religious belief. It has to do with keeping religion and the government separate.

No, but it sounds interesting I'll check it out.
I know almost all his posts sre either to shock or to appeal to someone. I have no tattoos, so tattoos don't impress me.

There are all kinds of religions that have nothing to do with forgiveness because they don't have sin in them. And there is nothing about those religions that are centered around forgiveness. They might have some sort of tenant that relates to forgiving others just because it's healthy, but not because you need to do it to not have sin. And if there's no a god to pass judgment, why would you need forgiveness. You're having a hard time separating out what's monotheism and what's not.
It's not impressive. It's a regular pagan practice if you're engaged in it, and if you're not, then you got bigger issues than whether or not i'm impressed.

I love how no one ever questions that not a single time in the history of the Jewish religion is there a demi god born half man, half human. Yet, in the Greek religion of the time, demigods were all over the place. I love how no one ever questions that we celebrate Jesus's birthday on a pagan Greek holiday. Christianity is the pagan religion applied to a single deity. And then for some reason, they just stuck the jewish god on top of it. Not a single word did Christ speak that goes back to anything Judaism teaches.
As someone who's had a NDE i didn't have any visual the experience. The hospital OD me on fentanyl. I basically went to sleep and woke up. I had to be narcan, and they even use the paddles. They had pretty much called everyone and said, if you want to see her, you better show up because she might not make it. One of the first things I thought as I looked around the room, was my pastor who was crying, would be even more upset when I told him I didn't believe in god anymore. So while I didn't actually remenber experiencing anything, I have absolutely no doubt there was some kind of experience. As with anything spiritual, it's completely a personal opinion thing, there's really no way to scientifically say this is what happened at this point. And you're gonna get the same naysayers.

I was raised by two atheists. The only time we ever went to church was when we stayed with my grandmother. If you know anything about Presbyterians at least in the US they're pretty laid back. The services were always uplifting, and I didn't even know Hell in Christian mythology existed till I was 12. I don't think believing or not believing in a deity has anything to do with how you're raised or who raised you. You're either called to it or not.
Well, if you have a farm leaving offerings for the elements and the land spirits of your particular piece of property are a great idea. They'll do the work for you.
I don't wear any symbols at all. I also don't generally use spells or crystals just for walking around. One of the things I first learned when I started doing spell work was circles of protection involving either imagining light or glass or brick wall, anything like that that will block other people's energy. Sometimes I'll carry hematite if i'm going into a big crowd because it pulls your aura in but in general, I don't walk around feeling like I need to protect myself. I do have protections that I set up and renew every month in my home but they're pretty simple. The average person isn't practicing witchcraft, so bumping into someone who's actually going to try something is pretty slim. And when they do, you usually notice if you're doing any type of energy work. Most of my symbol work involves spells. I did recently create a symbol to work with King Asmodeus because I was uncomfortable using the one in the Key of Solomon because it was basically used as a trap. The symbol I use the most is a Thor's Hammer. I actually have an engraved piece of steel with one that hangs in my front yard, and I have a necklace. Though, again, I don't wear it very often.
You seem pretty worried that you need to have like that many protective symbols on.
I'm not sure why someones sight would affect them having a spiritual experience or not. An OBE isn't actually that rare per se. That is basically what astral travel is, and since astral travel involves your third eye, there's no reason you wouldn't be able to see. An NDE may involve an out of body experience during it, but they are two different animals. Again, there's no reason why you might not be able to see: your spirit, body and your physical body are two different things.

Says who? The people who used it to oppress other people.
The religions seem to be doing fine without the growth that you're asking about. They have managed to survive the convert or die tactics of Christianity. While they are not preserved exactly as they were originally performed, the relationships with the gods that people have are as strong as ever. There are all kinds of ways to be social. You don't need your religion to be. Religion is first and foremost about your relationship with the deity or with the spiritual realm. As a polytheist, I don't have to worship every god there is, but I certainly would not abandon the gods I do a worship because i'm lonely. I've been a solitary practitioner for the last 17 years. And even though I have a spiritual based business, I am still basically a solo practitioner. I'm not saying people can't start going to Christian churches because it's more open or because it's more social, but why is that the option instead of being open about your beliefs, opening up a space for people to come and worship the gods you work with and bringing your social circle to you. If you're too afraid to do that again, why are you in that religion? Why are you ashamed of your gods?

Buddhism, Jainism, some Hinduism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Shinto do not have a god in them. Also, some Unitarian Universalism and Satanism are also considered non-theistic or atheistic. In the US atheism is a protected belief system. The same as a religion with a deity in it.
