I always thought Debby was an insufferable blatant troll. Buy hey that's just me.

Me too, but I don't think you can get banned for that, this place is crawling with insufferable blatant trolls.

Sidewalker
I was banned once, so I set up an alternative account which wasn't difficult.

In fact, I think I've got three accounts now, just in case of emergencies.

I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to admit that, as I recall, on the last site somebody got permanently banned for doing that.

So what did Debby do.

I'm curious too, folks are talking about her tendency for offensive posts, but I guess I haven't seen that, but then, I'm also not paying that close attention to her posts, if I want to see what AI has to say about a subject, I'll ask it myself.

I can't imagine you getting banned, what did you do?

Is she still on DebateArt?

I didn't think DebateArt was still around, didn't it shut down?

Sidewalker
Democrats need to exercise the 2nd Amendment.

C'mon guys and gals, let's see a few Icemen in body bags.

Because what the fuck have you got all those guns and the 2nd amendment for, if you ain't going to use them.

This generation is soft, todays punkass assassins can't do shit.

Back in my day, assassins could shoot through a live oak tree to hit a President and a Governer in a moving car with a single magic bullet.

Today they can't even hit Lard Ass President standing still.

Sidewalker
It's easier to use a car, since you can conveniently say you were just trying to parallel park.

Bad idea, ICE is authorized to execute you for parallel parking.

My bias is agaisnt stealing land from our allies. But r so sure the rest of nato suddenly drop the usa ?

They would have no choice but to drop the US from NATO, fundamentally the NATO agreement is that anyone who attacks a NATO country is attacking all NATO countries and become the enemy of all of NATO. If Trump moves against Greenland, he is demonstrating that the US is no longer part of NATO. It would also demonstrate the US is no longer honoring the Monrow Doctrine and the Roosevelt Corollary. Trump's messaging is clearly that he will not be constrained by the NATO agreement, the Monroe Doctrine, the Roosevelt Corollary, International Law, or the US Constitution. Trump's consistent second term message is that he will not honor the international agreements the US has in place.

That'd be like walking right into putins arms, potentially.

That is probably Trump's intent, he has not hidden his desire to pull out of NATO, and he has stated multiple times that as far as the US is concerned, Putin can do whatever he wants.

Trump has made it pretty clear to our allies that he doesn't care about the interests of our allies, which is to say, we are no longer their ally. Trump has turned America First into America alone; he has pretty much convinced the entire world that the US can't be trusted.

Someone is desperate for attention (and it's the person who used this line first, aka you)!

LOL, you have turned boring posts that nobody cares about into an art form, I'm sure your desperation comes from knowing nobody gives a shit.

All of your posts say the same thing, "Mommy Mommy, look at me, look at me".

But nobody gives a shit.

I don't think Trump's ban on institutional buyers will have a positive effect on the housing market by any stretch of the imagination. I managed sales for a new home construction company when the wild price increases occurred, the institutional investors did not cause the dramatic price increases.

Housing is a 55 trillion-dollar market, disruption of such a huge market will have dramatic effect on the general economy and employment, which will cause a cascading effect that magnifies the effects of the disruptions. You have to be very careful when you start fucking around with a 55 trillion-dollar market segment of the economy, and simply eliminating institutional investors will be very disruptive, without having the intended effect of reducing home prices much at all.

New home construction is very sensitive to demand, a typical new home subdivision is basing construction starts on the previous two- or three-month's sales, unsold inventory is very costly to a builder in many ways. Eliminating the institutional demand will eliminate a portion of the supply accordingly, and it's naive to think builders will simply build too many homes and make prices drop.

Pretty much everyone would rather own than rent, so new home construction is made up of people who can qualify for a mortgage and institutional investors that provide rental homes for those who don't qualify yet. Banning institutional investors won't measurably change the number of buyers who can qualify for a mortgage, eliminating the rental demand will simply reduce housing starts accordingly, which will have a negative effect on employment, which will mean fewer people will qualify for mortgages, which is a big part of the cascading effect I mentioned. In the end, banning institutional investors will make it harder for consumers to get into a single-family home, not easier.

The wild price increases where a matter of supply and demand, and huge increases in material costs. It was a drop in mortgage interest rates to the lowest ever that caused the housing market to explode, more buyers qualified at the lower rates, and the rental market provided more lucrative cash flow to the investors, and Covid caused fundamental market changes that contributed to the huge increase in single family home demand. More people working from home, made people need one or two more rooms for office space and the threat of Covid was all about density, and density considerations fundamentally changed the housing market. Living in apartments means closer proximity to others, and closer in homes meant closer proximity to others during the Covid also, this increased demand for single family homes and made living further out where homes are more affordable more practical. Supply is also limited by the construction industry's capacity to build, 50% of the home builders went bankrupt in the 2008 housing fiasco, builder construction capacity was severely diminished and slowly recovering.

All of that combined increase in demand outpaced supply, the builders just couldn't build fast enough to meet that huge demand, and it was exacerbated by the Covid supply chain disruptions. In the aftermath of Covid, the cost of lumber increased 700% in one year, and the recent tariff mania has a huge impact on construction costs (a majority of the US market's lumber, and over 90% of the gypsum comes from Canada, tariffs contribute to the affordability crisis much more than institutional investors do.

So, the cost of construction increased dramatically, and the builders just couldn't build fast enough to meet demand, and that is what caused the wild price increases that made homes unaffordable. That situation peaked in 2022, builders can keep up with demand now, material costs have normalized, and supply chain disruptions have been resolved, so now, a reduction in demand will simply reduce supply, which reduces employment, which will reduce the number of qualified buyers.

Blaming institutional investors for the affordability problems is a convenient matter of scapegoating, and consequently, banning them from the housing market will exacerbate, rather than solve, the affordability crisis.

I believe Trump is at war with china and russia and want to deny them the hemisphere.
People get hung up on Trump’s personality and miss that underneath, the worldview is blunt but legible: you don’t have to win everywhere on the globe, but you just can’t let geopolitical powerhouse rivals set up shop nearby where it permanently breaks you.

So, the message to China and Russia is this is our hemisphere, and we will do what we want militarily in our hemisphere, you stay in your hemispheres.

Trump just authorized China to take Taiwan, and Russia to take Ukraine.

And the message to American Citizens is don't get in ICE's way or they will shoot you in the face.

If Trump doesn't get the Nobel Peace Prize soon, he is gonna bomb the shit out of Sweden.

We start with two primary kinds of space:

1} eternally existent, non-dynamic, macro-micro-infinite{ non-integral beyond whole } , truly non-occupied space outside/beyond/etc of the following,

According to current cosmological theory, time came into being with the Big Bang.

2} the eternally existent, dynamic, macro-finite [ integral whole }, occupied space Universe @

According to theory, space also came into being with the Big Bang, all we can know about the start of the Big Bang is that it came forth from a singularity, an infinitely hot, infinitely dense, dimensionless point, that necessarily transcended time and space.

Current cosmological theory tells us that this is the process by which the Big Bang occurred, and the dilemma is that a process needs to occur in time and space, so what you are referring to as “eternally existent time and space” is a realm that transcends time and space.

Yes, we assume/presume integrity of finite whole, we identify as Universe. In that case ive yet to see any valid, illogical in the those two, complementary aspects of one scenario/story we identify as 1} and 2}. above.

Eternity complements finite, dynamic occupied space Universe, and

Eternity may appear as more of prerequisite for non-dynamic, truly infinite and truly macro-micro, non-occupied space, because, humans, observe and then count finite spaces to a finite total { integrity }.

Eternity and infinity are conceptual; they only exist as semantic devices which define finite. They are words that do not have a physical referent.

Ergo, humans relate our counting of a finite{s} to that, of non-count-able, macro-micro infinite and truly non-occupied space { not countable total exist there. }.

It necessarily would transcend the concept of “counting” or anything that mathematics can apply to.

Think of it way B Fuller used to say. We cannot get out of Universe. The pure act of seeming expansive increase of the the sum-total finite set of accounting, is a transformation of bits from volumetric { area in holography } from perhaps many location to allow any expansion outward of the dynamic, finite, occupied space Universe @

Sure, in a macro-micro infinite Universe we could also say the same above, --cant get outside of and infinite and that infinite is not expanding as I stated above, because, infinite, is beyond begin maxed out. Infinite is beyond finite limits as integral whole{s}.

Running out of words to express a clarity of the distinction between finite and infinite. How bout this. Infinite can not have and outer surface area, boundary geometry, whereas, a finite must have { dynamic { non-static } or non-dynamic i.e. static, *meta-space outer pattering* }.

Again, according to current theory, space is curved, so there isn’t necessarily a “boundary”. Perhaps it doesn’t matter if it’s infinite or finite, conceptually it wraps around itself (like a sphere's surface), meaning you'd loop back if you traveled far enough, with no "outside", hence, no boundary.

While “We cannot get out of Universe” to “see” the entire universe, our observable universe does have a boundary, but that's just how far light has traveled to us, not an edge or boundary.

The proof is IN the pudding... the pudding, is in the crust.

If the pudding is in the crust, is it pudding, wouldn't that make it pie?

Dont blame trump. Blame people who voted for him and enabled him to do all this. If Hitler ran for president in 2024, Americans would elect Hitler.

That would depend on how well Hitler performed on TV.

60% of Americans voted for trump thinking trump will solve their problems. they did so in 2016, then realized their terrible mistake in 2020. then they somehow forgot again in 2024, and voted for trump again in 2024.

46.1% of Americans voted for Trump in 2016 and 49.8% of Americans voted for him in 2024.

The cult sings his praise, no matter what.

The Trump movement is a cult of personality, with no consistent principles and no concern for truth, his MAGA supporter’s Pavlovian response to his “show” is to resoundingly declare triumphant success, and they don’t care whether the success is real or phony. They don’t care whether things actually happened the way Trump says they did or whether it achieves anything important or lasting. They don’t care if there later turns out to be a corrupt underside. They celebrate peace plans that don’t bring peace, trade deals that don’t enhance trade, and military deployments on a whim.

Trump treats his Presidency more like a television show than a real political job with actual real-world consequences. To his supporters, it’s not whether he can do the job, but how well he can play the role.

The Trump movement exists to glorify Trump, in all his impulsive mania. Trump is the TV president, how it looks on TV is all that matters, it’s only a TV performance, results in the real world don’t matter to him or his supporters.

Tee hee hee, you are so clever, I bet no other troll ever thought of this one before...truly original.

Are you really that desperate for attention?

Can't be a felon until a felony case in court is concluded. The one felony conviction Trump has, to date, is not yet a settled case, my friend. Did you forget [conveniently]?

You can't be that clueless, so you are just that dishonest.

Donald Trump is a convicted felon, Trump is officially a felon under US law who has not one as you lie, but 34 Felony convictions under his belt. The cases have been settled, Trump is using his corrupt control over the Judiciary to erase that legacy, but that does not mean the cases were not settled, and he was found guilty of 34 felonies.

He is a felon, and your dishonest MAGA distraction doesn't change that fact.

Words mean things. Use them correctly, please.

Integrity means something. Try having some integrity please.

The fact a guy like you was licensed and continually gave therapy to mentally fragile children is INSANElY bad screening.

Dang, I was really hoping I would have the approval of assholes, .

I didnt say Im better at it. I said no way you are good for it.

Oh no, it hurts to disappoint assholes, please stop being such a meanie.

Sidewalker

I probably come off to you as toxic because you can tell that I think you are an asshole.

You should be used to that.

It's not as if life comes with any guarantees of longevity and uninterrupted bliss...Far from it indeed.

I don't understand the question, what does it mean to be a "slave to material evolution and universal progress".

What would be the alternative?

Perhaps aborted foetuses are the lucky ones.

Why do you think it is a bad thing?

Sidewalker
Given how genuinely toxic and volatile Ive seen you be esp on DART I am shocked you kept such a job. Nazi images on the regular too.

Oh no, the hatemonger thinks I'm toxic, coming from him, I take that as a complement.

Thank you.

Tell us why you picked your username

For most of my adult life my true passion has been Therapeutic Horseback Riding, formally called Hippotherapy, which uses horseback riding as therapy for a broad range of special needs, developmental disabilities, and illnesses, typically with children. I ran a therapeutic riding program for over 30 years, performed every role there is, from Program President to Mucking Stalls and Special Olympics Coach. What I loved most was always being in the ring working with the kids, I've worked as Certified Therapist, Leader, or Sidewalker, but the role I always loved most was performing the function that the Therapeutic Riding industry calls "Sidewalker". To me, it was a form of self-expression, I really do think of it as representing who I am.

And are you one of those "pick one username and never change it across different sites/accounts" types or do you like to mix it up

Sidewalker is the first and only username I've ever used.
