To maybe clear up the confusion, how do you define “support”? Do you mean not criticizing the president? Siding with him on policy matters?
Because it seems self-evident to me that you can vocally disapprove of the president while still being a law-abiding citizen. Are you saying that a critic of the president is, at heart, a disloyal citizen?
