TLDR

What makes you think humans cannot survive 2 years without sunlight? Artificial light, Vitamin D supplements, V-D rich foods, and a sunlight clock. These are the four remedies to lack of sunlight, and humans can survive much longer than 2 years without the sun. They take care of the need for light [not an absolute need, but life is better], Vitamin D deficiency, and circadian rhythm disruption. What else is needed? Be specific.

Perhaps you're more in line with the Democratic Socialists of America, who propose abolishing the Presidency, Congress, and the Supreme Court. That's 43% of the Constitution. Fair enough?

I disagree.

Part 4: "A socialist day off could be like any good day now."

"...what if you were free to spend your time how you like without worrying about cost or dreading going back to work? What if you didn’t have to think about paying rent or loans at the end of the month, or saving for college, or affording groceries?" - DSA https://program.dsausa.org/

The first "what-if" has already been debunked in Part 3. All suggestions in this manifesto have cost, therefore, debt.

You're still working for a living, and still have costs/debts on your "free day," so what, exactly, removes the "dread [of] going back to work?" Simply by avoiding mention of it, magically, it's gone? Well, there's another clue that settles the score on socialism: expectation of magic to make life "...like any good day now." If magic were so available to use, why hasn't socialism succeeded longer than it has in any attempt to apply it around the world? See the Intro to this exercise.

Part 3: "Your day off"

"Maybe in the morning, you walk your kids to school, run errands, or go to a doctor’s appointment. In the afternoon, you might play a sport, practice a new skill, read, plan a trip. In the evening, you could meet up with friends or family and eat together, maybe go to the movies or down to the park." - DSA https://program.dsausa.org/

School, errands, doctor's appointment, play, practice skills, read, vacation, eat, movies... All these activities have a cost/debt. See Part 2. Well, "your day off" implies you have a job. With all those activities, it must be a paying job. Does your paying job pay enough to spend [debt] for those activities on a "day off?" Maybe it does, and you even have money left over. Only left over because the rest paid for cost/debts. I keep repeating that, don't I? Get it, yet; the lie of part 2? You have debt.

You have debt under socialism and capitalism. It is a maxim of life in society. You will have debt to somebody, primarily, as for most people, the cost of your housing, whether rent or a mortgage. Oh, socialism means the government pays for it? Where do they get their money? We've been there, already. You bought the materials and the tooling so the government can produce promissory notes we all accept as money [to pay debts].

Even investment, considering you may be fortunate to afford that activity, is a debt. No, a "day off" is not a free day, after all, is it? I'll now add how this section of the DSA website really begins: "OK, enough about bills." Oops, we were really just getting started, weren't we?

fauxlaw

"You have no debt. You don’t need health insurance. You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord, because comfortable housing is a human right. Your retirement is publicly funded. Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods and utilities." - DSA https://program.dsausa.org/

Not "...for-profit industries?" Socialists must think that anything produced by humans can be perfect out of the chute, needing no maintenance, nor replacement of parts, nor replacement of the entire facility, whatever that might be in "...retirement, food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation." Anything produced by humans will ultimately fail; nothing has ultimate endurance. Replacement is a necessary ingredient in society, and there is a cost to that replacement, let alone the cost to produce the first generation of anything in the DSA's list of essentials of our society. Anyone producing a car is aware that the car you buy - therefore, a "debt," even when you pay cash - will need periodic maintenance through the duration of your use of that car. And then, it will need replacement. More personal debt.

That's just an example of the last on the list of DSA's housing, food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation - an incomplete list, by the way. There are many other essential consumables we purchase at a cost/debt. Note that socialists have conveniently left off the list one essential: taxes. What does government self-produce as a commodity we require to sustain our lives? Not a bloody thing! And a "commodity" they do have produced [again, they do not manufacture it; they hire private contractors] is our infrastructure. How do they hire? By our taxes. How, by the way, do they buy the materials, and the tools, to coin and print our money? Taxes.

No debt? What a load of what comes out of the back-end of a bull [which, in our modern society, has value, itself, so don't knock it as a mere expletive]. That's public debt, but the money comes out of our pockets, because all government can do is print money, which has no intrinsic value of trade but by the claim of the United States, and every other country on Earth, for their currency, that it all has value. Currency is a promissory note by the governments of Earth that their produced currency has an accepted rate of value for the exchange of it for goods and services. Otherwise, the collected value of countries and their currencies across the globe collapses.

To claim that socialism absolves us of debt is just the second lie they are claiming as your given right to avoid. No, it's just another distribution of that bull-rendering from the back-end. Good thing, I guess, they have it in abundance, because socialists give it out as if it was never-ending. No, when we personally realize the socialist lie, that our debts will never reach our door; guess who suffers first, and dies. The bull out in the field. And, then, no more bull**it. They don't grow on trees, Nor does money.

Now notice, herein, I've said nothing about alleged "human right." I'm saving that one for later, even though it is virtually the first of our losses in socialism.

fauxlaw

My ignorant reasoning is that the Earth comes with its own cleansing mechanisms to restore the damage it can cause to itself, which far exceeds the damage humans have caused since the industrial revolution, and further with post WWII, when petroleum use skyrocketed. We had far worse climate conditions 140 million years ago due to rampant volcanism, yet mammals, which evolved about then, with physiological systems virtually identical to ours, survived, and they did not have the intelligence to construct shelters with controlled interior environments. We have more going for us than you imagine.

I imagine when we land on. Mars, we will find a warning sign from the former inhabitants of Mars. "We feared global warming, and re-adjusted our lifestyles to prevent it. That effort failed. We destroyed ourselves warring with each other about our assumed climate crisis and how to solve it. Better luck to you."

Oh yes, you prefer orange misogynistic draft dodgers.

Trumpo is orange only due to whatever the camera light conditions are, or the color setting on your tv.

Deal with it.

What was Joe Biden's military service, by the way? None. Five years of student deferments, just like Trump. Difference is [it's on record] while Trump appeared at his local draft board every year of eligibility, Biden avoided appearance in each of five years. So, who has the better record, here? It isn't Joe Biden.

proving difficult, so they moved on... and it was the easiest and got only one paragraph at the convention.

But moving on has now been almost 240 years, and still standing: the pre-eminent free market capitalist system in the world. No, not perfect, just the most successful to date. Got a problem with success? Anything less is a personal problem. Be ambitious, plan, execute. It's a simple formula.

fauxlaw
Here, you are pretending we're in the medical field

Pretending? No, no pretense here. This is a medical issue for which Trump is being diagnosed by assumed experts. Experts who should know, because they have been trained and sworn to an oath not to diagnose without personal consultation with the patient. None of them can claim him as a patient.

period.

You may pretend all you wish, but acknowledge, please, that oaths mean things.

Intro

The above link will take you to the DSA website, upon which this post and its succeeding posts are based. I will offer my overarching challenge to this entire diatribe: Show me the one successful socialist movement from anywhere in the world that has endured as long as the free market capitalist model of America. No, not from 1776, or even 1787, but from 1619's dual emergence of eventual American expansion. Everyone knows the 1619 Project as the first date of arrival of African slaves, and the modern protest that has resulted. Less known is the Virginia General Assembly meeting for the first time at Jamestown, becoming the first representative legislative assembly in the New World and laying the groundwork for American constitutional democracy via an economic free market. We'll start there: 1619. Show me a successful socialist movement enduring since then. Don't tell me; show me. Well, you can't because socialism does not predate 1619; it's from 1848, Karl Marx. That may not be accurate. It may have started in Eden as the Serpent's beguiling offer to Eve. But it hasn't succeeded from then, either. That's all you have to do, and I'll back off the claim that socialism an an historic failure without a single enduring success story. Enduring being equal to, or surpassing 1619 to 2026; 407 years.

Part 1: The Raised Fis

Socialists claim the raised fist as the symbol of their movement. There it is, prominent in the above weblink, as if they invented it. Nope. Not even that. That symbol has been around since the ancient Greeks, at least. Moreover, the symbol is not a singular fist, but a hundred of them, all from one individual of Greek mythology: Cottus, son of Uranus, one of three brothers, all of whom are giants of Cottus' appearance; monsters of a hundred hands and fifty heads. Looks like a socialist banquet. So, borrowing from the outset, socialism can do nothing more, for it cannot even generate its own wealth; it must borrow[?] it from others. When the borrowing source is depleted, socialism dies of its own lack of ability to sustain itself. Always has; always will. All myths eventually succumb to the demand of real history: Be ambitious, plan, and execute the plan as an individual effort, or wither and die as a disillusioned, collective union population. The following parts to... follow, just like a socialist parade of raised fists. If I used a free market parade, y'all couldn't follow it.

fauxlaw

Oh, but I do have a response; it just hasn't penetrated yet. There's a 2020 "documentary" titled "Unfit; The Psychology of Donald Trump,"

directed by Dan Partland, in which at least 4 psychologists/Psychiatrists and an attorney gave advice that they allege Trump is unfit due to mental disability. Yes, the documentary participants acknowledge the Goldwater Rule, and even added the result of a trial in the 90s from which these "experts" developed "The Tarasoff Rule," to wit, "impose a duty on therapists to warn appropriate person[s] when a patient may present a risk of harm [to others]." One of the "experts," Dr. Johyn Gartner, PhD, a psychologist, admitted "Donald Trump is not my patient" yet agrees with the Tarasoff Rule. Just violated the commentary of the documentary. I am not an MD, a psychologist, or a psychiatrist, but I can see a conspiracy when it is that obvious. So much for oaths. Do me a favor. Look up what a "patient," and, apparently, these "experts" do not know what a patient is [i.e., needs a personal consultation, not just observin by remote]

Patient

Medical Context (Noun)

In healthcare, a patient is typically a person or animal awaiting or undergoing medical attention from a doctor, dentist, or surgeon.\

  1. Etymology: The word stems from the Latin patiens, which means "I am suffering". Historically, this implied that the individual passively accepted the treatments prescribed by providers.
  2. Modern Role: Today, patients are encouraged to be active participants in shared decision-making regarding their care rather than passive recipients.

Just to be clear, these "experts" fill a "role" wherein the "patient," Donald Trump, is only a passive recipient. Ain't the way medical treatment works today. Get it?

Only some female organisms --not any males ever-- can pop-out exact clones of them selves

That's fine, as far as it goes. My point was that "pop-out exact clones" do not happen to humans, nor any other mammal.

fauxlaw
hasn't worked in any authoritative way in 6 centuries.

Not supposed to work by authoritative ways. It's an individual effort with individual accomplishment results, always. Since Eden, not just a few hundred years. Hell, socialism has never succeeded for that long. Never will, because it basically ignores individual effort as a key ingredient.

fauxlaw

You #9: I prefer individual effort, not collective. I've never expected total strangers to feel obligated on my personal behalf. I understand the need of collective infrastructure support, but that ought to be the end of government involvement in private lives. Government is too distant, particularly at a federal level, to deal with personal needs and wants welfare-wise, which Oba'acare, was, for example. A costly disaster. Medical care is more expensive than ever, so, a failed policy. I always thought it would be, our being the third most populated nation in the world. Sure, Western Europe thrives on social medicine, but which among them is even one-third our population?

As for your #10: only one: government is not the personal economic solution. Not ever. Personal ambition, planning, and execution is my policy. Worked for me. Worked for my Dad. Works for many others. Enough to know it really is the economic model that thrives.

fauxlaw

Yes, I know gays, trans, lesbians, straights. Always have. In my elementary and middle school years, a pair of gays lived next door in Brentrwood [L.A.] They were kind and appropriate with me, always. Both were young history professors in separate colleges. They constantly quizzed me on material I was learning in school. Very helpful. I just didn't agree with their sexual expression, but they never hassled me about it, nor I them. Live and let live.

fauxlaw

Freedom to be my own boss, set my own schedule, choose my own clients, and make my own income. Sure.

Choices made long ago. Helps to be ambitious, plan, and execute.

Yes. Here, he is pushing the button in support of the 1A, to address grievances, in spite of making idiots of ourselves doing it. Hint to the angry mob: He didn't write it. They need to go shout at the Document behind glass that is down the road.

...is committing to an oath, such as "First, do no harm," and then do so even verbally.

The Goldwater Rule

Have you read it? These "experts" did not, or ignored it. Violation of ethics. AccusingTrump of doing so, when doing it one's self, well, smells like a hippo.

...concerned about him.

very funny.

All through the Maine Primary for Senate, the Democratic Party pushed this waste of human flesh, Graham Platner, as the best thing going for Maine. I have naught to do with Maine. I've been there only once, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. But if Democrats cannot do better than this nitwit with a covered Nazi tat and a towel for teenagers, call the police expletives, let alone several women accusing him of taking off the towel, at a minimum, y'all deserve him.

Senate? This guy doesn't belong in a Slum. If y'all can't recognize that, y'all have bigger problems than Trump. It's desperation. Not even bottom of the barrel.

fauxlaw

Since you insist on referring to your original point, and that "mental health experts have been warning us about for years" with regard to Trump's mental health, thought you'd like to demonstrate how these "mental health experts" have aligned with the National Library of Medicine's findings, and the

American Medical Association's "Goldwater Rule" on the ethics of diagnosis without direct consultation with the patient.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3068718/

https://www.ama-assn.org/practice-management/digital-health/telehealth-person-diagnoses-match-nearly-90-time

Specifically, I want to know how many of your "experts" have personally consulted with Trump; if not, their diagnoses are as full of shyte as you claim I am.

So much for what you may be full of, too, for making that claim of their "expertise." It is your original point, after all, isn't it?

fauxlaw

Not on this Earth. By your description of "Her" preganacy, you imply mammalian birth, and. sorry, but among Earth's mammals, not one is or ever was capable of pathenogenesis [virgin birth], and no one but another god, a male one, by the way, could impregnate her since virgin birth capability is denied to all Earth mammals, your mathematics notwithstanding. Yes, that is Occam's razor.

fauxlaw
No shit, what is your point?

The point? That I challenged you to ignore Trump. You can't do it. You're in good company. The 2024 Repub primary candidates swore to do it, but couldn't, either.

They’re not coming here, which means they’re not bringing their business here

According to the US Bureau of Economic Analysis, foreign investors have a cumulative foreign investment position reaching $5.71 trillion. Uh, they do not have to come here to do that.

you MAGA cultists

Sorry, Boyo, I am not MAGA. I've been an Indie since 41's campaign, 1988. That's 6 presidents ago.

We haven’t been this slow since COVID, the only other instance in our lifetimes other than 9/11 to cause this.

2008 was in our lifetimes, but before Covid and before Trump.

The job of the president is to make the lives of the American people better,

Tell me what "better" Oba'a and Biden did. Oba'acare didn't, nor did opening the border.
