They obviously came into the thread with the absolute intention of revealing role and flavor off the bat. There is consideration of them being eliminated in recent games probably making them want to be more transparent although I do not know if that’s AI given they would want to do it as either role as a motive. The claim itself if believed I could only see for town. I do not think its reasonable for a Mafia to receive some role they have an unknown active or passive ability.

The other side of what I consider is the potential of WIFOM insulation. If town Thoths play limited the pool Mafia would want to kill exposing TPR’s. Would they consider that is a question.. On the flip side adding another level it could also be a play to insulate themselves from actions painting themselves as useless until later. Also a potential but those more familiar with Thoths meta will have to question if they would both gambit and consider such implications making a deep play.

Their #45 comment is of substantial note angling on potential of being Paranoid Gun Owner as well as Hated which reflects survival focus. This is where I see hardline survival focus. (which again, them being killed the last few games is a question if its AI) but there is absolute clear scum opportunity there advocating to not be visited or voted.

The initial exposure to TPR’s is inconsiderate if its that basic but only scum perspective sided if you do no think a T! Thoth would close scums kill PoE and also was not making a deep play for kill insulation. Overall more likely to come from town than scum there imo. But the further post insinuating they are a bad target to either eliminate or visit I very much do not care for. I also noted in #47 they feel the need to push that their role is likely.

I saw nothing from the music post past the connection it came from season 4 of a show and they referenced Day 4 in their claim. Nothing more I will say there but it was interesting that nobody even seemed to notice the post.

Past that bit their mech speculation looks null. I do see consistency in them poking Magoroth about it after voicing bad vibes about them which is good. The early transparency in #182 looks ok although looking into what they could be reading on Rex and WF I do not see much so far to go off. Im assuming gut read/meta.

Overall for a super early read I see survival focus 100% but question if its AI given the pattern of site things. That would be the only real scum indicator so far outside of questioning their town pegs. I do dislike the “Be wary of either voting or visiting me” post on #45 quite a bit. On the town side I see some consistency in read progression that I like and I do not see them making any sort of opportunistic push. I am not comfortable with their slot but do not particularly find them scummy.

Their opening post #31 looked a bit awkward. I wont say more than I think there will be value in hearing about their views on how the table was divided for others even if I am not allowing myself to consider such things. Those things may be of solid value to the town and if you town read them you should pay attention when they break them down.

I liked their initial reaction to Thoth’s claim without drawing a conclusion. Their #48 question makes sense for either side digging for info so neutral there. And I liked that they had a slightly critical line with Thoth’s claim questioning their assertion that D4 is super likely. It pairs well with their assertion in #78 that its such an unlikely fake claim which I agree with. But to reflect on their mindset it again shows a player not taking a position and instead giving a natural stream of thoughts even if they are at this point going slightly IIoA.

They have a number of takes I agree with from using IC slightly differently to how the question mechanics really change flavor but I do not see that as AI. Just a skill thing they would do as either alignment.

Their readwall on #237 is interesting. I initially went weird world seeing the Banana N/A thing but Banana had not posted yet so sure.

Two questions that come to mind for me for @WhiteFlame is what they specifically town read in Mag and Thoth as well as your thoughts on Lunatic.  

Actually rereading what I just posted I think I would really like to hear more thoughts that are not about flavor. I feel like the majority of your stuff is flavor focused and I would like to hear analysis..

I will try sir. For me personally I just do not want space taken up in my head playing mafia games understanding if someone is a boy/girl/trans/gay/straight/bi/black/white/asian or any of that shit. I am never going to have sex with anyone here and just do not care about it. The biggest harm to me playing the game of mafia so far has been people dragging those details into games. Without going into detail its been hurtful to my mafia experience and real life. I just want to play a game and not offend people. So I try to use neutral pronouns ignore any racial or sexual anything and use acceptable terms like "eliminate" instead of "lynch" when I remember to do so.

I understand and respect you are Him/His/Man/Male. Forgive me if I just give the neutral because I do not want to deal with all the other shit and just want to play the game.

So, This post is not game related as far as this game but I have to give a hard "Fucking hell no" here.

I got killed in Solo Leveling because I would not claim the exact specific type of protective I was. Nobody on this site can even begin to explain why that could have been AI. I claimed everything and begged my side chat to explain how much I had given in side chat and begged people to ask me anything and I could explain- and this site only cared about that one specific detail. Thats just toxic site meta. And it had nothing to do with my challenge. Lets not confuse these things or excuse them.

Thats my opinion. It was just absolute shit play by the town there ignoring any analysis and demanding claim information that did not (and even in hind sight) would not have helped solve anything at all while I died on that hill because I knew it and it would just be damaging to the towns potential in the future.

You can justify that however you want. But the refusal to comply and cooperate with town and blaming it on bad town play is idiotic

#156 they come back with the first thing that pinged me. “Kohai is being retarded might be up for killing him.” The thing of note here is the flat goal of killing. Not pressuring for info or anything else. This looks like an intention indicator to flatly eliminate that tracks from a scum prespective. To consider why we look at #157 where they expect to be town read. And keep in mind how they voice it “Do you think Kohai is scummy for not being able to see how town I am? Or do you think he is just bad at reading people?” Wow. That’s some certainty. Lets take a moment and unpack what Kohai had to work with at that point reviewing Rex’s posts:

What part of these postings makes it retarded for Kohai to not town read them? And to the point Kohai should die? Who could possibly read Rex as town with those posts so far? What logic could possibly exist? I see absolutely nothing. But whatever. Maybe they are just being overly aggressive to break RVS?

Kohai gets mod confirmed as IC. Then I question what their reasoning was for their stance that they should have been town read and why I look suspicious to them knowing they just shoved 2 players I know are town. Their response is vague and shades me saying its scummy for me to even ask then later framing my questioning as being defensive. So lets look at how they could have scum read me from my posts:

So what part of this justifies me being scummy? Vague feeling and all. Then I get voted. Again These are the posts they had to work with at the time of their read. While I think their “Kohai should be killed because they did not town read me” was absolutely unreasonable I can at least slightly see me being scum read for not trusting Thoth and pushing Mag1cian? Its also a bit of a reach but hey, breaking RVS and such is a thing. Now we dive into their interactions.

#158 They question the Mago pressure. A bit early for me to consider a chainsaw play but logic follows given their focus on me leading me to take this post as aligned.

#212 is where I shove Rex for reasoning. #218 they respond that they had a vibe on the town confirmed slot and that me asking for reasoning was scummy. (Which is a very odd position) They double down saying because they are town they should have been read as such almost entering TSTBS territory and felt that I was overexplaining myself which is at least reasonable.

#288 is the first sign of town I really see. A frustration at the IC reveal after mentioning it before and it does feel genuine even if its going ATE.

#289 is just invalidating logical points and shifting the subject to a ‘You scum read me because Kohai decided to pop his IC, Not because of my absurd stance on Kohai’ narrative which I dislike greatly.

Summing it up I do not see much consistent thought in their positions. It really feels like they have intention to kill with little consideration or logic reflecting an intention tell and their purported reads just feel fake to me.

I think that hard town reading anyone DP1 is usually not justified unless something very extreme happens or they are a bad player with a super obvious meta. When people do it, I usually see it as fake or just naivete. So, you shouldn't. But I think pushing a lynch based on this behavior is suspect. I don't think my behavior has been objectively scummy in any way. But I think it's the sort of behavior that scum would see as easier to mislynch.

"Hard town reads" no one ever said you need to be that. But you should be at bare minimum trying to scum hunt more than you are, and if you have a limited amount of time, its strange that you spend it the way you are instead of trying to further the day phase
