This topic reminds me of L. Ron Hubbard who told the "scientologists" that they shouldn't go to the hospital even if they have a sickness. Guess what? "Bipartisan" assumes there are only two sides. This is a bigger problem than being "bisexual" as the right and the left aren't monoliths. I think the correct word is "nonpartisan". Cancel culture has been around since the beginning of organized government. From whatever happened in the Chinese cultural revolution, to the Brits shoehorning negative reception upon one of the founders of computer science by being homophobic, to denominations being kicked out of the religion they used to belong to and call their brethren, Isn't there something in common?
You can't say something is "left wing" just because the left has been using it more often. This is similar to how you can't just say bread and potatoes are Russian just because Russians are depicted to be eating them frequently. No one or one group should get the monopoly of cancelling others. More ideally, no one or one group should be cancelling others the way we have been doing for millennia.
