But lets consider her earlier self, her younger self, her attractive self. She is aware that men want her only for her looks. And she is aware her looks expire. So she places high price on her looks to exclude most men, hoping that this will increase her chances of getting a better man.
But when all women do this, when all women place high value on their looks, it excludes a lot of men from market, but at the same time guarantees that many women will be alone too.
Lets look at example of 3 men and 3 women.
there is first man (attractive man), second man (average man), third man (ugly man).
Now, the natural order of things would be that each man gets one of 3 women.
However, all 3 women say "I dont want ugly man".
So now, 3 women compete for 2 men, and ugly man is out of market.
Naturally, 3 women cant be with 2 men, so only 2 women succeed, leaving 1 woman entirely lonely, wondering "where have all the good men gone".
And the ugly man is left lonely too, and he has very few options in life, which further ruins his mental health.
It's that he's proud of it and brags about his willingness to keep it that way!
But if I succeed greatly in life, my parents would be proud and would think they were good parents, and other parents wouldnt learn from their mistake.
Me failing in life is at the same time success because: 1. My parents deep down know they failed, 2. Other parents learn from their mistake so they raise their children better, 3. My parents dont get rewarded for being incompetent.
I have highest IQ in the world, and I know rewarding incompetence, even when it benefits you, is terrible long term. So rewarding my parent's incompetence would just be bad long term strategy because it would mean competence doesnt matter, and then that would ruin value of my competence as well.

Well, sure, it is my fault. However, I cant feel guilt or fault, so even if it was my fault, I wouldnt feel it.
But here is a very wise advice. When you want to raise a kid, reading a few books on how to raise a successful child and following those books is much much much better than assuming you can make every possible parenting mistake there is and still get good outcome.

Celibacy is completely unnatural and doesnt work for most people, so its a big issue for priests. You dont just pray away sexual urges. Its biologically impossible for most people not to feel sexual urges other than for asexual people.
Sexual urges are given by chemicals in brain, by hormones, by testosterone in men. You dont simply "remove" this by praying any more than you remove a bad tooth by praying.
there is a terrible misunderstanding about how most people's bodies work, when this standard of celibacy is expected.
I dont think its possible for average man to live in celibacy and no masturbation without suffering greatly as a result. Its just going against your own biology when trying to do that.
So they expect priests to go against biology, and of course it results in bad things because in many cases its like expecting them not to drink water or eat food.
Them not defrocking the Priests was a major managerial error but the main reason it's hard to replace Catholic Clergy is that it takes multiple years of studying, is only open to males and requires vow of lifelong celibacy
I understand it would have created a lot of issues for church. However, they couldnt possibly think they could cover it all up. And worst thing is, covering it up means priest gets to do it again and again and again. there is a lot of misfortune for victims because priests often pick disobedient boys to abuse, and this is issue because people dont trust disobedient boys. they assume boys are making it up. And when there is no clear evidence, people will usually trust well respected priest over kids who have history of trouble making.
the right thing to do, even if difficult, is to remove the priest from church. covering up only works short term. Long term, they couldnt cover it up, and also church got label for covering up abuse.
But if they cant remove priest, they should at least: 1. trust victims, 2. Make sure priest is never alone with kids
