I did not have an action last night

I guess there would have been a fourth possibility: Mag1c was Doomed to die today and wanted to take someone out before end-of-day. I don't buy this.

I didn't OMGUS Mag1cman for the Link counter-claim because I knew there had to be a mistake somewhere. Assuming there is one Link in the game and I got lynched, a fake counter-claim from Mag1c would have gotten him lynched faster than you can say HEY! LISTEN!, so there was no reason for him to do it. Therefore, I was almost certain that at least one of these things were true:

1. Kohai made a mistake divvying out role PMs. This seemed plausible. My PM had a mistake he corrected, but going into details might be OGI and I don't think that would be in my in-game interest anyway.
2. Mag1cman misremembered his role PM. This seems to be what happened, unless there's more info I've missed. I'm not close to fully caught up.
3. Mag1cman intentionally fake-CC'ed. The only way I can imagine this is if he had some role like a Tailor or Janitor that affected the previous day's lynch. I've never heard of such a role, and I'm pretty sure this is a reach that would impress Mister Fantastic.

So I figured a mistake had been made. Hope that clears that up.

I'm sorry for my lack of participation. My Internet connection at home right now is unfathomably bad, a whole tenth of a megabit per second up and down, and cuts out intermittently. I'm on public Wi-Fi and will be active for however long I'm where I'm at.

I think it was 100% an honest mistake. No way it wasn’t. Scum him could still make that mistake, but the “sorry guys” over and over reads like Town, not scum.

I do think it would be a bit shitty to fake that as scum, but you have to let scum be able to fake emotional outbursts like that because otherwise that becomes a trust tell.

Yeah, I think we need an automated vote counter.

Barring that, we need to be VERY strict about trigger discipline, i.e., stating our commitment to voting someone but not VTLing until town as a group is ready to drop the gavel. I wish we would have learned this lesson after Alien.

I am not buying this excuse from Mag1c even though I kind of am. Like, I totally see how it could have been an honest mistake, and we all make honest mistakes, but scum know that and use it to sneak hammers past us.

If we are in twilight now, I'm not revealing my role because I think we are better off with scum not knowing what isn't in the game now.

I am not claiming a protective role, but I townread Magoroth and I will almost certainly be visiting him tonight unless something dramatic happens in the next seventeen minutes.

Maybe it isn't. Could there be different versions of Link, each from different games? Anyone else want to claim that they are Link? I hope Kohai did not divvy the characters so as to make this Ryan George Cinematic Universe 2 Electric Boogaloo.

If the theme split had Link as scum, I think this would probably become obvious as role flips flip and you can lynch me then. That won't happen.

Writing this quickly before reading up and possibly full-claiming: Y'all misunderstood the point I was trying to make by suggesting that we policy-lynch wylted for his Epstein profile picture. I am an ardent supporter of free speech. I believe that he should be allowed to use that profile picture, and I believe that we should be allowed to lynch him for it. I'm disappointed that you all apparently thought that I was talking about allowability rather than acceptability, but I'm downright disturbed that none of you seem to think that it's worth protesting, especially since Lunatic was "officially encouraged" to change his swastika profile picture. How is that worthy of a sternly worded letter with a government stamp when we are letting a profile picture of a serial kidfucker and torture-porn enthusiast fly?

It was not game-advancing, nor did I mean it to be, but I thought that it would be community-advancing and character-forming. I guess we aren't ready to sanction someone for representing themselves with a guy who, among other deeds that don't make him a good role model, fucked underage girls and left a five-star review on a torture video.

Then again, I'm sure some of the memes I've posted on here and on the Debatecraft Discord server would get me permanently booted from my Discord Werewolf group.

I remembered that you were communicating by typing rather than by speaking, but I was looking in the text chat for Mafia Voice rather than in #mafia-games. Consider the point that you are inactive as scum dropped.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Banana slid through as scum in those recent live Discord games by not saying much, and noob scum tend to take the path of least resistance. Again, this day phase has not given us that much to discuss so far, but I'm feeling contrast between this game and Ruyi Zhuan where she was giving analysis. I almost feel like, if she's scum, her scummate would be feeding her 'reads' and 'analysis' to post.

Not voting Banana because I don't want to put her at L-2, but I'm not opposed to putting her on the chopping block. I wrote "peeling block" as a Banana pun before wondering if that sounded too much like some medieval torture device. Civilized folks like us use humane execution methods like ropes and guillotines.
