Fine with pressuring Shining to post. Hell, if you want me to put my vote on Shining to provide some facsimilie of pressure then I'm down, but if we get close to L-1 or L-0 I'm taking my post off. Rex is the better vote here for solving the game.

Cool, that proves my point. The more info we have, we better we can set up POE to solve the game with. Once we've established a POE it's not voting someone for inactivity, but because what other possibility is there for scum? This best minimizes the chances of voting off townies who are inactive.

Don’t blacklist people if you can correct their behaviour in-game

By your own admission, Shining is perpetually inactive. How's the in-game correction working out for you?

As an aside if Shining is Mafia, every Mafia lynch is good, and what will Mafia do? Will they try to defend an inactive and suggest another lynch?

I'd rather not play expecting scum to shoot themselves in the foot.

Also, by not pressuring inactives we pretty much give Mafia free reign to coast by as much as they want to.

Not mutually exclusive - my vote is on Rex but I pinged both Shining and Thoth to get their asses in here.

That’s assuming he gets replaced. He could do the minimum amount of posting as not to be replaced and we would be in the same situation as now.

If he's blatantly replacement dodging, then that's behavior we can vote off of.

Yes.

You know from mod-confirmed fact via their flip that their analysis and behavior is town-motivated. This lets you go back through the previous DP to look at their thoughts and suspicions to follow up on their suspicions, as well as it lets you look back at how other people interacted with the flipped townie to see if those interactions were town/town interactions or town/scum interactions. This helps solve the game.

D1 is also the best day to vote an inactive

I'd argue DP1 is actually the worst time to vote someone solely because they're inactive. The info you gain from their flip starts and stops with just their flip. It doesn't help you find scum from there - if they flip scum then cool, but if they flip town then it doesn't provide you with anything to help find scum. It just removes a townie.

Then this should be an out-of-game conversation of "Hey, if you can't commit to being active in a game, then don't sign up."

Let me put it this way. Inactivity is always going to land someone in the POE pool for voting when we're looking to solve the game. It's infinitely more useful for solving to vote for someone who's behavior you can analyze post-flip than to vote for someone who doesn't have behavior to analyze.

Neither of these are good points. 1 just assumes that scum isn't already posting and 2 is just...weird. Are we going to vote someone who's probably town if they have a life issue and need to step away from the game for a day or two?

3) get rid of a player who is either scum and inactive or a Town who will forever be a wildcard and most likely get mislynched at MyLo

I mean, if it gets to that point and Shining is still inactive, the play wouldn't be to vote the slot but replace it out.

Wouldn't lack of activity be more likely to be NAI, whereas with Rex we have decent behavioral reasons to suspect them?
