How so? I see him in four scum piles.
Why do you scumread me
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Name your top three people you would be willing to lynch right now. I’ll start:
Thoth, Shining, Cerulean
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
The problem is you are giving credit to Rex for the same logic that Kohai gave and still voted Kohai. I think this is just a disagreement of philosophy, but no lynch > mislynch.
A no lynch when it’s 7-2 benefits scum lol. I also had behavioral reasons to vote Kohai as well regardless of what he said.
Obviously we know Kohai wasn’t confirmable but if you wanted to lynch him today after that over Ceru, I would’ve been way more understanding and town read you. It’s kind of contradictory
It was no lynch or lynch Kohai who I had behavioral reasons to lynch as well. No lynch purely benefits scum because we lose a lynch on our terms
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Hope you feel better man, but if you’re going to be AWOL, you need to claim
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
My issue with that is that it's pretty ballsy to be the first dude to claim a protective role as scum. The counterclaim risk would be pretty high.
2 protective roles are possible and pretty common in games. I think the bigger issue is behavior. The hammer is whatever. But the 180 flip from town to scumreading me, especially after he knows I didn’t execute the NK. Combine that with the justification being wacky
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Didn't think of Jailbreaker being an easy cover for an RB. Whether the justification works, eh idk. He did claim with minimal pressure.
It’s a very common scum fake claim, and the justification seems a little manufactured, which is why the alarm bells are going off. Plus the complete 180 on behavioral reads

Lean Town
Wryly
I think that they have actively tried to move this game in a positive direction with their thoughts and activities, as much as they can for a player with limited experience. I think their contributions have been enough. As a new player, I remember when I was first scum I didn’t want to talk too much and was careful with posting. Don’t think wryly is doing that
I think Wryly is experienced at this point. She just made a silly mistake last game, otherwise it was easily the best TP performance I’ve seen
Null
Thoth - not enough behaviorally to go off of
Agreed. Would like a claim from him before the DP ends
FoS
iLikePie- I think no matter you have to put Pie in the FOS. I understand his logic for voting Kohai in that situation but I also know that quick lynching after proclaiming “Kohai” always seems scummy and pivot off your pivot target is a red flag. On the other hand, as scum I don’t think he actively tries to push the game as much as does with reads. I also just think him jumping so easily on that wagon isn’t how he would go about that as scum. He’d be way more calculated
Go read back. I preferred Ceru until the last minute basically, but we simply just didn’t have the votes
Ceru - I honestly could just be overthinking this, but it’s known he has experience and even after rereading DP1, I get his points in this DP but it still doesn’t come off right. Why, even in that position, do you not just claim what your role is??? I just don’t understand the logic there. The logic is that the question he asked to WF was if a cop was in and the answer was yes, so he didn’t want to out a miller. But even then, the miller would have CC’d that by the time he switched to Gravedigger. It’s just not adding up but if I read into it I think I overthought it
I agree that it’s odd not to just SOP full claim. If Ceru lives till LYLO and I’m also alive, it’s gonna suck balls. I also don’t think Ceru has done any scum hunting, which is odd to me. Thematically he started saying a few things but crickets since then. Maybe the SOP I can get over the behavior seems just like he’s skating.
Lean Scum
Shining - don’t love the claim to be honest. Thought I could rule it off to him being lazy but he’d do the same lazy thing as scum too. I also think it’s an easy cover for a RB. his justification also reads WAYYYY too much like a Role Cop or some Lawyer role
Ya I don’t like the justification either, which is why I want Ceru’s thoughts on it. And yes, JK is a common fake claim for Scum Roleblockers. The flip flop also doesn’t make sense for me.
Rex - this is tough but sometimes Rex as scum does obviously scummy things to make yourself overthink things. Lack of activity and a quick vote with limited input in the game (ironic from me), but to jump in a lynch without any justification is so weird
Thats fair, but he has a confirmable role. Whether it’s scummy, only Wryly would know. It’s hard to judge
so I’m fine with either 4 at this point
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
What are your thoughts on Shining’s claim and justification?
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Full claim please
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Happy to unpack
Well let me repack it for you
the whole line of conjecture about Ceru possibly being a Godfather claiming a Miller/Gravedigger seemed like a weird reach to me and was an early ??? on my radar
That in itself is unlikely. And I think youre misinterpreting what I was saying. If Ceru’s partner is a GF, it makes sense for scum to ask if a Miller is in the game. Because if there isn’t, then Ceru as regular scum can claim Miller and render the Cop useless.
But the situation has changed. Ceru claimed Gravedigger. Either scum can claim that. If scum have a Ninja, then it’s likely that theres a Tracker/Watcher. In this case it makes sense to ask about a Gravedigger and just SOP that.
when questioned on it you pivoted to "well the scum partner could be the Godfather" which wasn't what you originally said and was again pretty weird
I never said Ceru could be a GF claiming Miller. Could he do it? A plane could crash on my head right now, but it’s unlikely.
this all struck me as tryhardy for a Ceru lynch
To the contrary, I was probably trying to keep Ceru alive more than Ceru himself was. I said from the beginning that Ceru is a policy lynch if we don’t have a better target:
you resisted soft claiming
I didn’t do it because I didn’t agree with Luna’s method. It makes it more vague, which only helps scum. I would prefer to use the same soft claiming so we can force scum to stick to it.
you were on Ceru hard and then pivoted to Kohai as soon as he said he could prove his role
No, I read Kohai statement. Then voted Ceru and pursued a lynch against him until the last moment where I switched to ensure we lynched. A no lynch only benefited scum there.
on the other hand, you've probably been the best contributor and most active, as you said, your behavior seems townie to me, and there's a good argument to be made for Kohai being a last minute lynch of necessity
tl;dr mixed signals
Meh
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
I'd like a claim from you as well. I've got mixed signals from you this game that I'm not sure how to interpret. I'm sure there was at least one scum on Kohai's wagon, and while I get the argument that it was a last minute thing, I'd still like some more info on those involved.
I’m not going to claim until you get 4 people wanting it. I’m basically the only one keeping the game running at this point, and I was keeping it running yesterday.
Which mixed signals are you talking about
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
That would be you actually. I calculated the risk you being some PR, and prioritized saving you from a potential NK.
So you protected me last night cause you townread me, but you now gun to your head, you would lynch me? What changed?
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
unvote
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
No need to pressure me. I am Jim Moss and I am the Jailkeeper. My justification is that I am really good at interrogations and manipulation so that makes me a JK.
Interesting. Who did you use your role on last night and why?
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Why Earth? Why a mass claim?
No mass claim. 2-3 claims max including Thoth when he gets on.
Earth cause he’s hard to read and he’s part of POE. POE has Vader, Earth, Thoth, Ceru. My gut feeling is that Wryly is town and I think you’re probably town, partially vibes and cause I believe Wryly. If you’re a pair it’s a gutsy move
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Help pressure me for Earth’s claim plz
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Determined to kick up some more activity this DP. Let's discuss at least soft claims. We've made little progress.
We’re in the stage where soft claims will just delay time. We need real claims. I would prefer Thoth to full claim, but he’s clearly AWOL. When he gets on he should full claim 100%. But we have to move on until then. I’m fine with the following order: Shining, Vader, Me, Wryly, REF. Thoth jumps everyone when he comes online. Today ideally 2-3 claims.

Big thing that sticks out on a reread of DP1 is that Luna is a bizarre kill choice if Ceru is scum, as an iso on Luna reveals him to be one of the only people pushing back against Ceru's lynch.
I actually think it’s the opposite. If scum Ceru asked whether a Gravedigger was in the game (after knowing his team had a Ninja), then a Tracker/Watcher would be more willing to side with the gravedigger. It’s a logical choice
Also, that we should have killed Ceru over Kohai, it would have been a lot more revealing. Kohai flips aren't worth much since he acts so scummy as town.
Ideally yes, but in hindsight it was definitely the right choice. I would’ve tunneled Kohai so hard
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
You said earlier something along the lines of "Kohai is always scummy," no? What made this different?
Nothing really. It’s honestly just a matter of principle and forcing people to change their behavior. Shining/Earth was the same way. Now I’m forced to make him participate because before he leaves one off comments and then shows up a day later
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
I'm here theorizing that there's specifically a Ninja and Watcher such that if a Watcher is watching the nightkill, they would only see me. Not particularly enjoying the idea.
Although I am curious if anyone else thinks that could apply to them.
You could flavor anything tbh, but that’s an interesting theory, which actually makes sense
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Suddenly, I understand what Pie meant about Kohai.
Told you lol
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Can we replace Thoth please
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Are you role and affiliation confirmed or just role.
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
I’m fine getting 2 claims today. Any combo of Vader, Thoth, Shining works for me. It bothers me that Thoth hasn’t posted today and the fact that Shining came last minute to hammer, but it was a last minute vote
It also bothers me that Ceru isn’t here either. I’d expect him to be more involved especially considering his claim
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
lmao, if gun to my head it would probably be you. Rex and Wryly are likely town, I'm town, and everyone else is varied levels of null.
Lollllll
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
Ok I’ve read the DP. I am kinda giving Shining a pass because they’re known lazy town and probably wanted to get off a mislynch, but I’m also hard pressing Pie and Rex. Rex made like 2 posts and then at the last second drops a vote. Pie was a hard push on Ceru the entire time and then even after Kohai says they can be confirmed, he changes his vote
Read my posts this DP
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
But at that point Kohai had said he could prove his role, while Ceru's was impossible to prove and not useful anyway.
I agree, but it was just me and REF on him and we were the only two around at that time. That means we needed 3 votes in a span of like 30 minutes. Kohai already had 2 votes. 2 plus 2 is 4 meaning we only needed one person to show up. I would’ve preferred Ceru, but logistically it wasn’t possible
ILikePie5 · 9 months ago
The Dreamer flip also makes 0 sense if a Gravedigger is in the game and Ceru is telling the truth
How so?
