The nation is reeling today after a Texas jury ruled that you cannot stab someone in the heart for no reason at all.

The case involved a defendant who took out a knife from his bag and stabbed a random victim in the heart for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Legal experts and the public have been unsure of what the outcome of the case would be, but the jury in the Collin County District Courtroom delivered a unanimous guilty verdict on the charge of first-degree murder.

The defense attorney for the now convicted heart stabber made this statement today following the verdict.

"My client is black!"

Honestly, we didn't know which way this case would go. With today's activist judges, you can do all sorts of violent things in America and get away with it normally.

This was a surprising outcome.

The court case is a real wake-up call to people carrying knives all across this country.

So you have the normal expectation that they can stab anybody that they like and get no consequences for it. The people I've talked to out here, they seem really shocked by this case. Back to you in the studio, Bob.

This verdict has left many wondering whether the ruling could set a dangerous precedent for criminalizing other random acts of violence, such as shooting people in the face for no reason.

There exists a minority: the productive people and firms who graze and create. In this tale, we will call this group the "sheep." The wolves in this story organize and vote. Everyone calls it democracy, and the language of fairness sounds reassuring. The wolves proudly introduce “democratic socialism,” and promise kinder outcomes without changing the basic arithmetic of democracy. If the rules allow it, a majority can decide how much of the sheep’s output gets redirected. The names change; but the incentives don’t.

Whether or not this story turns into a predatory tale depends on constraints. Where there are hard limits such as clear property rights, independent courts, budgets that have to balance, rules that are difficult to rewrite, solid constitutions, well, in those lands, the menu is mostly off the ballot. Where those limits are softer, control of government becomes a coveted prize, where politics organizes around access to that prize instead of providing solutions.

You can see this tale play out in New York City. There’s a small group of sheep, high earners, investors, and firms who also bear a big share of the costs. They know they are on the menu, but treat it as a natural state of being a sheep. The “wolves” in this story aren’t really villains; they’re coalitions using the rules available to them. But the “sheep” aren’t exactly helpless; they’re productive and have the means to flee the pasture.

And when the sheep start to drift out of the pasture, something slowly changes. Over time, there are fewer sheep to crop the grass and fertilize it. At first, nothing seems different. The votes still happen, the rules still stand, the language still sounds right, the wolves are fed. But the pasture stops renewing itself. Less grazing, less growth, less to go around. What looked like a stable system quietly thins out. And by the time the wolves ask where all the dinner went, why the meadow looks like a garbage dump, it's already too late.

Turns out the problem was never really how to divide the harvest through democratic socialism.

It was forgetting who made it grow in the first place.

I was wondering, why don't any US states have Election Day off as a holiday? I know some States let government workers off that day, knowing for the most part where that demographic is going to vote regarding the status quo.

But why not all the non-government workers as well? Why suppress the private sector working-class vote?

Not “ignored,” not “sent them back.”

Killed. One beheaded, others humiliated.

That’s basically the one universal rule you don’t break, in medieval and modern times.

Entire cities wiped out. Empire gone. Millions dead.

Lesson is simple:

If you can’t control your actions, the consequences will control you.

They chose disrespect and chaos.

They got annihilation.

I just found this to be funny somehow.

The Tory was a fascinating person in American history. They trusted the hierarchy. They trusted centralized power. They trusted the system. They believed that the system was smarter than the people living under it. They endured abuse because they saw social compliance as a social virtue. They believed the system was wise, benevolent, and self-justifying, and above all, they feared disruption more than mediocrity.

They saw George Washington as an unhinged, wannabe dictator. “A pretender to greatness,”

“a proto-Caesar,” “a tyrant bound to turn his sword upon his own people,” “a deluded malcontent convinced he is the savior of America,” and a “dangerous egotist who’ll plunge the colonies into chaos.”

Without slapping labels or naming names. Analyze the mindset and the behaviors. The fear of change. The fear of freedom. A sort of political Stockholm syndrome, if you will.

They say history never repeats itself. Americans, is it rhyming today?
