JD Vance said Trump likes to buy them all shoes in a speech a while back before the WSJ broke the story, and Trump said "Sneakers are wonderful, but I don’t want my Cabinet members wearing sneakers, so I’ll get them a pair of shoes, it’s a gift from Donald Trump", he also said he thinks it makes them look "spiffy and nice".
So yeah, must be a true story.

I’d agree that seniors “tend more toward conservative mind-set”, but Trump and his MAGA movement is not “conservative” by any stretch. I would expect my fellow seniors to have a greater respect for democracy, the Constitution, the law, integrity, etc…and therefore would be the voting block that rejected Trump the most.

OK, well what will we do with the money saved, feed the poor, provide services, no, the proposal cuts government spending on making lives better by 10% across the board. Will it result in Tax cuts then, no, this budget will require large tax increases.
Here is where it goes. This budget includes a 44% increase in Military spending, and because of the name change, last year we are spending around a trillion dollars on defense, in 2027 we are spending 1.5 trillion dollars on war. The largest increase since World War II.
This paints a pretty dark picture of who we are as a country, and what we want to become.
This is no way to make America great.

The Pope should affirm Just War principles more explicitly when addressing real-world threats, so his moral guidance remains credible in situations where force might be necessary.
That's a good point, the Pope's moral guidance would be more credible if he would agree with Trump on things like war and genocide.
