I'm not saying that I'm scumreading him. It just popped into my mind that I hadn't even considered the possibility he wasn't town, and I don't know how I feel about that.

I would just like to say that I have implicitly assumed Helz was town this entire time and read everything they have said so far under that impression. I didn't question that until just know, and I don't know how I feel about that.

I am finally back and ready to read up. The question on top of my mind right now is how to read people based on their reaction to my claim. Obviously I am biased towards townreading people who townread me, but I really should try to be more objective.

I did not even notice that the Better Call Saul clip was from season 4. I was just fluffposting the song since it fits with the periodic table theme.

I do want to emphasize that I am 90% sure I don’t have an active ability because Pie answered that I would not choose my targets if I did, and that really seems like putting in a role PM. Your mileage may vary.

Again, I would like to float that everyone soft whether their justifications are airtight or loosey-goosey. If everyone has solid justifications, it could help me guess what my hidden ability is.

I don’t see how this could help scum. If you think it could, please explain why rather than scumreading me for the float.

I'd like to float that we claim whether our justification is clear or loosey-goosey. If most of us have tight justifications, a mass soft-claim can be considered. If not, that idea goes in the circular file.

I used to do this sort of thing all the time in games, pushing for soft claims from everyone. I don't really like it anymore. It helps scum figure out what other players are and the constraints it puts on scum claiming aren't generally as useful for the town as one might expect.

With more than a hundred plausible claims, any soft-claim that leaves plenty of pigeons in every pigeonhole won't do much to help scum figure out what people are, but it won't do much to constrain scum either.

My current townreads are whiteflame, Rex, and obviously Kohai. Mikal and Magoroth have been pinging my gutradar in the negative direction. Everyone else is null.
