Role justification has factored into my analysis before. It's something a townie should be able to provide easily and a potential slipping point for scum.

Scum would usually fake-claim something with a buyable justification, I would think. Also, it’s possible to stretch a justification far enough to make a character fit a lot of roles while sounding believable; see my Barry / Strengthener claim from Barry.
