I know, but I buy wylted’s claim because it seems specifically designed to fit with my role.

The protective role in this case (1) can also block a Mafia kill and (2) does not alter the mislynch math since she dies in her target’s stead. I don’t see how Bus Driver counteracts Vigilante specifically, and, again, it doesn’t alter the mislynch math since a bus swap just makes someone else die.

Wasn't the main reason you were townreading wylted because he was also even night? If so did you not see that he claimed he lied and is odd night? Does that make any difference to you or are you town reading him for different reasons?

My main reason for townreading him is that his ability could redo the mislynch math so that, in some possibilities for how the game could play out from the start, my kill would not cost town a mislynch. Whether it's odd or even night is irrelevant.

Savant said in the day 1 OP that there were no mod-provided fake-claims, only questions about characters and roles.

I really don't think whiteflame would be scum again after hitting scum so many times in a row but that is mostly mod psyche which is hit or miss.

i buy the vigilante claim, but want to c if it works, if it works and another kill doesn't happen and he claims he was the kill or something that wuld b strange but until that happens its likely if there is two night kills he isn't lying.

I'm not sure what you mean by "he claims he was the kill", but Savant confirmed that my kill can go through even if I die. I guess it's possible that I could be roleblocked.

I think wylted is town and scum probably won't kill him since, if he's town, they presumably buy the Martyr claim. I'm not guaranteed to hit scum if we mislynch and I shoot. It may be better for me to waive my ability.

Justification for being Vigilante is just that I fight against the Empire and some people don't agree with my methods. There's no justification specifically for being even-night.

Lunatic’s point stands that I don’t think an experienced player would have signed off on Kohai’s Strengthener claim, but maybe Magoroth is new enough to our meta to have done it. It’s also possible that Kohai yolo’d it.

It’s just mislynch math. If you are 5 people away from parity, as we are now, you have two mislynches. 5, then 3, then 1 away from parity, i.e., final three. If you are 4 people away from parity, you lose that last person needed to go into final three. Same reason why it’s generally safe to VTNL on evens but not on odds, as you taught me in Deltarune.

Not quite. I was talking about the math from my perspective before wylted claimed and Kohai was lynched, although I think that changes nothing. Also, if wylted isn’t the Martyr, then he is presumably scum and killing him would end the game instantly. Finally, it doesn’t matter who kills wylted or doesn’t kill him, since the math works out the same whether I get him or the Empire does.

Magoroth is my top sus right now. Role seems very fake-claimy and, not knowing anything about this show, I tentatively believe Wryly that his character is a plausible fake-claim. I say we lynch Magoroth and go onto DP3

Without Martyr, we go into DP4 with 5 people if I don’t shoot, or 4 if we do. 5 people can go into final three if one scum has been lynched, but a mislynch always ends the game immediately with 4.

With Martyr, we can go into DP3 with 4 people and still have final three on DP4.

I guess I get how the alignment of your two even night roles makes some sense, but isn't the idea that it would cost us an NP, not a mislynch? That would mean scum lose an NK.

Correct me if I mismathed, but I believe friendly fire would cost us a day phase, so same difference.

1x Even Night Vigilante. That’s why I bought wylted’s claim. On odds, my kill would cost us a mislynch, assuming a kill every phase. wylted’s role is obviously in the game to stop that, and I suspected from the start that someone had a role meant to stop mine from changing the mislynch math, which is what I meant when I said that a specific soft-claim could help me, i.e., by verifying that suspicion.

I accidentally marked myself as offensive and can’t change it. I can’t say it’s wrong, but I would love if a mod could fix it
