You weren't lying in Alien, true, but you were still claiming a scum character, and I can see how this could be a subconscious behavioral tell.

I know that sounds ridiculous, but, looking over his past games, he does format his claim like that more often when he is scum.

I had a change of heart after mulling over what Mag1cman said about how unexplained reads could devolve the game into "orange sus". (Orange is totally sus.) It's because whiteflame formatted his claim in two paragraphs, like this:

I am [claim]

It stuck out to me when he did this in Alien because it seemed like that formatting, leading into a new paragraph, was like he was trying to... I dunno how to put it. Distance himself from the claim? Like he was saying it in two parts to see if we would buy the lie?

I joined a tulpa chat when I was, uh, maybe seventeen? That was before I realized I had aphantasia, in the sense that I did not yet realize that other people did not have aphantasia. Right after I joined, someone posted a message in [brackets] to show it was their tulpa talking, and I asked if that meant it was their tulpa talking. They told me I was the first noob to figure that out.

They were the people he marked as null or scumlean. I could be wrong, but I don't think whiteflame would mark his scummate as townlean that early. I think he would create distance.

While I know you as the self-confident type, you did strike me as very invested and very confident in insisting there was no way there could be three investigatives in any game on here. Not to claim that I believe that there are three investigatives.

Although I suppose it could be coincidence. I should really repeat it with a larger sample size, at least ten scum and town games each.

Again, my only case against whiteflame is that he wrote a post of his in a specific way, and I checked some old games and found that he does this more often as scum than as town. Then again, per Bayes' theorem, you also have to factor in that he is a priori more likely to be town than scum, so it's not exactly making his possible scummity evident beyond a reasonable doubt.

Red check means they have a guilty result. It comes from MU and MS where mafia are usually colored in red and town is colored in green.

Does this only apply to cops or also to other investigatives, like if a Tracker saw someone visit whoever died overnight?

It's 50/50 for me whether Magoroth is telling the truth and Mag1c is just trying to flush out a possible third investigative with this "unheard of for there to be three whoops no miller silly me" screen

I do agree that Mag1c seemed very invested in making that point.

Sorry if I missed it, but did you say your justification? While I'm no fan of outing information needlessly, and Vader did say that justification-hunting might not be the best route for this game, right now there are two paths we can go by and there's still time to change the road we're on. I think our choice of how to play this day phase boils down to whether or not we can trust you.

I agree that three investigatives sounds odd, but Wryly is right that there were four investigatives in Alien. Four isn't just odd, it's even.

I'm not GUARANTEEING that whiteflame is scum, and I know that's what a scumboi would say to preemptively cover their ass if they knew whiteflame would flip mislynch, but I think there's a strong chance and that's the best place to look today. I'd like to see a full-claim from whiteflame.

It's something specific about how whiteflame wrote a post earlier. I picked up on it because it stuck in my mind when he did it in Alien. I checked some games on here and on DebateArt and found a definite trend of him doing this more often when he is scum than when he is town.
