I also strongly dislike the nature of how Thoth is playing. Oh I have info about the kill but I can’t reveal it cuz I will die is so weird to me because if you have any form of info that will help us catch scum than you should use it. It’s this back and forth with him and then him jumping around the point that I dislike as well

I don't think they are. Who would pick Shining over either of two nearly confirmed townies or the lore-lord? That's not a strictly rhetorical question. If you can think of any scum pair who would have killed Shining last night, I want to hear it.
I think everyone has posted, but I still want more responses to post #226 before I reveal my info from last night. If your top scumread were scum, who do you think they would have killed last night and why? The way I see it, there are three essential possibilities:

I just had a thought that I want to share while I'm on, since I might not be active again until evening. I have a guess at what (one of?) the anti-claim mechanic(s) is, and call it tinfoil modpsyche if you want. It's nearly confirmed, maybe hard-confirmed if I forgot something, that scum have can recruit, details of recruitment ability unknown. Mikal said he could determine which characters can or cannot be recruited and that the split would be hard to find even with Googling unless you had played the game, claims of which I was suspicious of yesterday but trust now that I townlock Mikal. If I were scum, my top concern would be hunting a recruit target, and I think you would all agree with this. Rex knew that whoever rolled scum would likely not be a lore-lord and would have no way of knowing whether or not a character can be recruited. My guess is that the anti-claim mechanic lets scum check your recruitability if they know certain information about your character, possibly with a full Rolecop, possibly yes/no, possibly not quite either of those two. It seems hard enough anti-claim to, "allow scum to use their roles to much greater effect", but soft enough that Rex might use it despite his rumored distaste for anti-claim.

I want this to prompt discussion for everyone: If your top scumread(s) were scum, and if you knew that scum had exactly one night-kill, who do you think they would have killed last night and why?
Before leaving y'all for the night, here are my reads from towniest to scummiest. Since I have not revealed my information from last night, I will try to avoid considering it here other than calling Mikal mechanically cleared, which may or may not change the list.
Mikal: My behave-dar is pinging more strongly as town here today than yesterday, but that might be subconsciously influenced by the much more important factor that I received information in NP1 which clears Mikal beyond a reasonable doubt. There is a tiny chance that my information was tampered with, but Mikal is townlock to me unless and until we get overwhelming evidence otherwise.
Airmax: Mikal confirmed his claim as accurate to lore, and a flipped Cop justifies Miller. I doubt that Airmax could have come up with such an intricate and correct justification, no offense intended since I also know little about Suikoden lore, although Sanchez could be a mod-provided cover. I won't say that Airmax is absolutely townlocked, but he has no place on the block today, although a Tracker or Watcher might want to look at him.
Kohai: I strongly townread him on day 1, and I like his claim enough that I am townreading him more strongly now than on day 1. I don't quite consider him townlock, though. I'm curious what prompted Mikal to tell Kohai (post #155) not to say more about his role, but I trust Mikal's judgment there, and I actually have a tinfoil of what it could be, which, on the off chance that it's right, makes me 2000% agree with Mikal. Of what that tinfoil is, I shall not speak nor give direction. I could be wrong, but Kohai's behavior feels great to me.
Wylted: I'm not sold on your role claim, but it seems reasonable enough, as does your claimed intention of holding Shining over a barrel. I do think that, unless you had reason to believe a Tracker or Watcher was on to you (see posts #88 and #116), it would be bizarre to claim that you visited the NK if you knew that the "vanish" was Janitor, which it presumably was. What pushes you from neutral-ish to lean town is your unprompted claim, just because I think most if not all players here would strongly discourage if they were your scummate, cf. post #61. That's not proof, but it's mild heuristic evidence. Pie does have a point that a killing role seems odd with a verified dayvig, but I'd rather give you a pass for now.
Lunatic: Lunatic has been somewhat active, providing good analysis without so much as a hint as a claim. I'm feeling that Lunatic is a town power role hiding in the margins, but he could be scum hoping that his seemingly insightful analysis will keep pressure off of him. In post #159, Mikal implied, if I understand correctly, that he thinks you are Barbarossa. If true, you are town-locked, and I don't want anyone to chime in on this, but I would assume that Barbarossa is unrecruitable, which gives you town insurance.
Wryly: She has been meaningfully contributing to discussions without providing any information about her character or role. I'm not saying that to pressure you or Lunatic into a claim, just that I can't townread you two as strongly as Mikal, Airmax, or Kohai while your roles are unknown quantities. I feel basically the same about Wryly as I do about Lunatic, minus his bonus for possibly being Barbarossa.
Whiteflame: I have no strong feelings one way or the other, thanks more to his past life than his current one. Ultracrepidarian gave me nothing to work off of, which would be a tiny scumread by itself if he hadn't subbed out. From what I've seen of whiteflame, I don't think I can read him behaviorally any better than I can call a coin in the air, if the coin were weighted so that it comes down as town more often than scum in accordance with there being more townies than scummies (that word feels dirty somehow).
Vader: Just a gutread based on inactivity and weirdness. Actually, my gut tells me that Vader always gutreads as scum for the same reasons.
Pie: As Lunatic noted (day 1, post #466), and I should note that Luna grouped me with Pie there, Pie has a pattern of chipping off the town bloc and throwing shade more aggressively than I think is needed, e.g., post #47 today. He also directly asked wylted for character and justification today (post #29 and again in #57), which felt to me like he wanted information as anti-claim fuel and thought he could hide his ulterior motive behind Mikal's inquisition of wylted. Correct me if I am forgetting that someone else beat him to it, but posting a claim tracker (post #205) strikes me as steering us towards revealing information. I think Pie is our most promising target today. That said, wylted suggested (post #172) that whoever is weak enough to be led by Vader is his partner, and I don't think you are the type to be led by anyone.

Somewhat out-of-game, but it must be so frustrating for moderators to pour their heart and soul into desgining flavorful, lore-accurate roles, only to watch players flop around like a goldfish in a shattered bowl with the most basic lore facts. Although statistics dictates that Mikal has probably missed a few targets, I'm glad to see Mikal bucking this trend rather than flailing along with it.

I can probably share what information I got last night without outing my role unless scum have a serious role lord (counterpart of a lore lord), and even then there will be gaps they can't fill, but my professional opinion is that y'all need to be kept in the dark until everyone has talked in this DP so we can gauge the reactions and possible backtracking. If that last sentence made me your top scumread, please save your possible vote for after I flip this DP on its back and raw-dog it.

So… I’m confused. Didn’t you start off responding this DP by saying that Wylted didn’t kill Shining, then shift to saying that he could only have killed Shining with an NK? You seemed to confirm something about him, but now you’re making it sound like you have no info on Wylted.
I did say that, and I am sorry if I confused anyone. I started catching up on the thread and saw that Wylted was being sussed because he claimed to have tried to poison Shining and people thought Wylted was lying about what the poison did. I went into panic mode and posted that Wylted did not kill Shining because I wanted a response ASAP lest Wylted unnecessarily claim before I finished catching up, and then I realized that my information didn't clear Wylted because he could have performed the NK and lied about the poison ability.
I'd like to know if scum has a Janitor or because of the special mechanics of this game every NK is just gonna go poof without a flip dammit

The nk makes very little sense as shinning would have been a prime mislynch target.

Mikal, I'm not questioning your lore-lord credentials, but I think your lore-hammer is so strong that you are seeing everything as a nail. The idea of Milich having poison that can wear off makes enough sense without Liukan and a healing mechanic tied to him. A moderator can't perfectly align every game mechanic with a justification that sounds cool.
When I outed my information from NP1, I was not as clear as I should have been, so let me clarify:
If you redirected me to poison somebody else or something crazy you should say so I can heal them
I did not do that.
I'm stumped as to what role you could have had that allowed you to ascertain 1) that wylted did not kill Shining and 2) that Mikal is innocent, all in one NP.
That's exactly why I don't want to reveal. Experienced scum might miss it too.
Can you ask those questions differently and so I can process it differently and I will answer
Mathiu and Barbarossa are mentioned by name in Magic's role flip, which makes me think they are in this game. What alignments do you think they are? (Barbarossa is obviously town unless I completely misunderstand the lore.) If Mathiu is in here, then does knowing whether he is town or scum change who else could be town or scum?
