Technically, that was a soft-claim from RationalTheist, but it was unambiguous enough to effectively be a hard-claim. He could have just said, "I am popular". I think he knows something about the mechanics that interact with role claims, i.e., at least one is on his role card.
What is popular? I'm guessing it's something I know from Werewolf but under a different name.

I'm glad I I found something to join. My first Werewolf game featured seven factions plus one independent player, all with asymmetrical win conditions. After that, I think I can handle most anything.
I have played complex setups more than basic Werewolf games.
Yes, under the name Werewolf, which is essentially the same thing. I can't claim to be an expert, but I know the basics.
