why would she claim the first part of the role, of being immune to one lynch? if she was scum it's probably? more likely she just, doesn't claim that part, get "lynched", then scramble for players to find anohter majority
Probably for the “confirmable” aspect of her role. The problem is that there’s no verification for her other role either and the use of that role was suboptimal as well
I've made multiple allusions to say that I don't need to be recruited for my role to work. No where in the post that Luna quotes do I make the claim that I can only motivate people after I've been recruited, if anything I've explicitly said the opposite. The closest Luna's argument gets to it being a 'slip' is the Popular claim, but even that's such a monumental reach. My soft claim made two claims - I had two roles that I referenced with those claims. Neither of them rely on me being recruited to function (as we've already proven with the Popular claim happening).
The way you wrote it though sounds like a direct contrast. Is English your first language?

There is just also this thing I feel town does when they feel they 100% have settled on a target they get lazy and stop hunting. We need more hunting and positions taken for the later days. Totally uncontested trains are unhealthy imo.
Every single day I want a train and a counter train personally. Forces people to make decisions and later when you can tell 1 train was town and the other was scum you get hard data on voting patters that hold huge value late game.
I would spend today isoing Thoth and Alyssa and seeing their interactions with people. If nothing sticks out, remaining scum are prob among the inactives

The other risk is having my night action redirected onto scum, which isn't worth it for a null read.

Also just asked Mikal because I vaguely recalled recruiting messing with guild night actions. If guilds recruit, everyone in the guild waves their night actions. Assuming the guilds recruited (which why wouldn't they last night), targeting REF wouldn't do anything even if he could've benefitted from it.

Like, if REF ends up claiming like a tracker or something then sure I'll eat my words, but there's plenty of town roles that doubling doesn't really affect, at which point what's the meaningful difference between targeting them and not targeting them, and I'd rather use my ability on people who can take advantage of it.
It’s an every night ability, and your only risk is targeting scum. Unless you believed REF was scum, it makes zero sense to not target him. Him being able to use it or not is irrelevant
In theory, not visiting plays around other ways to fuck with my targeting (like a redirector or something).

Why does it matter? If Luna trusts him, why not double his ability. And even if he didn’t, Luna is in a Mason chat with him.
Last night I visited no one. I asked Mikal if my ability would work for guild recruitment and he said that it wouldn't because it's "it's own mechanic", so I didn't see a good target to motivate. With the entire gimmick of this game being that a lot of people don't actually have abilities before they get recruited, I didn't want to just target someone who I thought might be a PR without knowing if they had been recruited yet or not. In the future, happy to cooperate with Wylted or Luna to coordinate who I motivate in whatever manner they feel is safe to divulge.
