Mikal kill is weird. Maybe he had scum in his scumreads and they were afraid of getting shot? With Thoth flipping town he was a good mislynch target due to the pseudo-CC, as well as vig generally being a good mislynch target.
Problem is mikal didnt have many scum reads. I think he said he was gonna randomly shoot whiteflame or wryly, so its possible one of them killed him taking the threat seriously.

This is a frustrating game. We have like nothing to show for mislynching. Mikals strategy back fired. Nothing to read on, no one has outed any results. I guess we got some mild role confirmation on Banana but thats about it.

Other than the obvious (mistrusting Mikal's claim for both being an unlimited Vig and close to hard CC-ing Thoth's claim, and mistrusting Thoth for SOP-claiming late with a role that is an odd mix of PGO and Nexus, both of which would warrant an early claim), there's not much to say. There's too little behavior to read into and it wouldn't matter for much in DP1 anyway. Lynching an inactive at least has some benefit to town for driving activity in future DPs. I'm at least up for letting Mikal prove himself, even if that means he does so by shooting me. Thoth would be a possible alternate pick, but at least we know his claim.
mikals 139 basically confirms he was baiting. I would rather lynch mago over thoth. Chances are town has at least one neg utility role and no one else has really come forward being sus of it outside of for the obvious reasons, leads me to believe their might not be a miller or hated or something.

Yeah. Not the biggest fan of that play by Thoth. To his credit though Thoth is capable of big braining a move like baiting scum, but not the execution. In Periodic Table when I found out after I ded that he was a soldier, I applauded him thinking he was going to clutch the game, only for him to cave when it mattered most and claim soldier. Helz even told me they were going to kill whiteflame before lylo, meaning if he hadn't claimed he would have won for town. So this is something Thoth would fuck up. That said I am not totally clearing him based on that, just being open minded about it. But yeah he still probably should have claimed that outright if he wasn't planning on baiting. Regardless, I am not going to stick to this point super hard either since its early game and many people have yet to post.

Seems like a lot of people are getting onboard with claiming early, though I can't say I understand the reasoning here. Yes, characters are effectively randomized, but everyone would have submitted a set of 3 characters for Kohai to choose from. Scum will either have characters that don't obviously link to scummy roles or will just claim one of the other two characters they submitted. Just seems like it doesn't matter, but maybe that's your point. We have 5 claims out now, I'll likely give mine tonight, I just want to understand the thinking here.
Yeah you can still link justifications of characters to roles, so claiming like this is kind of wild, though I am not totally against having a few people locked into a claim. I think we should refrain from posting a ton more, so we can actually pressure people for information though.
