Observing something as it is, is one thing. But using what is observed to define some specific word that way is entirely arbitrary. It is literally impossible to prove that some word is defined in some specific way. Observation doesnt define any word on its own. Its people's minds who choose to assign specific observation or description as definition of a specific word.
