I am not going to post actively, I just have to respond to this because I sense a bit of harm here, or terrible misleading.

Deception is machiavelli strategy, and its not so much lying as it is not being completely honest. (lying isnt same as not telling complete truth).

there are times when lying is useful. there are times when hiding truth could save your life.

But those situations are so rare that it is probably better for you to be honest generally.

In daily life, you are in 99% of cases not in situations where lying or hiding truth saves your life or even helps you.

If person likes money, you should be source of money. If person likes comfort, you should be source of comfort. If person likes religion, you should be source of religion.

In simple terms, you must be source which provides what person wants. You must be useful.

there is not much room for deception in business or in social relationships. If you rely on deception, it is short term win, but usually long term loss because every lie and every incomplete truth has an expiration date which comes once full truth is revealed.

true social power comes from being most useful to greatest number of people. Deception wont get you anywhere, literally. the more you lie, the greater the chance of being exposed in a lie. the more you mislead, the greater the chance of people figuring you out.

But being useful is always beneficial, because it is simply true by tautology that people like things which achieve their wants, and by extend, person who is source of those things.

I was accused before of driving away activity, and while I personally dont think I prevent anyone else from posting, I still want to see what mental effect there is when I am not posting actively. the activity should rise again once Debby gets unbanned anyway, but this is to see if others will post more once space is created.

When it comes to survival in nature, there are few good options and many bad. You have wide spread roots and greens like dandelions which are good vitamins, but their roots arent really going to provide much after you peel them (they are peeled like potatoes to make them easier to chew because outside layer is too tough). You have food provided by trees, such as catkins, which must be made into paste because its too fiber to chew when raw. there are also nuts, fruit and berries, but those are actually rare in wild and usually not available. there is also extracting sugar from grass and flowers, which is possible by soaking and crushing. But the resulting water isnt really high calorie, and it must be done repeatedly. People who have horses usually use soaking grass method to extract sugar from grass (their goal is to have grass with less sugar), but same method is used to produce water with some sugar in it from grass.

Now, there is also blending dandelion greens into juice, which is probably quickest free juice from nature.

Insects tho, do provide some calories. Its just the yucky part and chasing insects around which makes such option difficult. Most insects dont actually have enough weight to be sustainable food source. Grasshoppers are one rare exception because their weight goes up to few grams. Compare that to ant which weights so low that you would need 10.000 ants to make a meal.

If I were to eat grasshoppers and locust, I think I would rather eat them in form of paste. Paste is a bit easier, faster and cheaper to make. Now, roasting locust I assume improves taste a lot, but its also extra cost (making fire, waiting time)

I prefer windows over apple mac. Not because mac is out of my price range (I could buy cheap used one), but windows just has way more apps and games supporting it. Windows is simple enough OS to play games and write notes. In fact, I think writing notes is very easy on windows, the only one which is easier is on phone. With Mac, you are going to have a lot of issues with a lot of apps. Maybe its true that Mac lasts longer, but my windows laptops usually last at least 3 to 4 years, which isnt exactly great, but its just decent enough, and I dont plan to pay 3 times more just to maybe extend lifespan but sacrifice a lot of apps.

Given how many transphobes on this site there are, GreatfulGoy being one of them, I agree that this site probably isnt safe for a trans child. trans youth generally need support and approval of their trans identity, and here they will find some approval, but also disapproval from many members who are haters. While I do agree that debates are beneficial for children, I also understand trans children really need support of environment, and I cant say plenty of supportive mentality towards trans exists on this site. there are maybe 3 or 4 users who approve of trans, the rest are either haters either not caring. But ultimately, its choice of individual if individual wants to stay on site.

I have been posting on this site a lot, but I noticed few members have gone shy and dont post much anymore.

In fact, most of activity is done by minority of members.

And one possible cause of that could be me talking too much. I understand a lot of people on this site carry certain hate towards me, so it could be the case that when I am talking, they feel uncomfortable to join the conversation.

So just to run a bit of test, I wont be making new topics for a month or maybe even more, I will withdraw from debate section too.

I feel that with my withdrawal, it could create some space and pressure for shy people to post more.

Nicotine simply isnt a built in urge. At least not for me. I do feel urge to smoke, but its such a tiny urge that it can effectively be ignored for months if not years.

the trick is usually to link dopamine system to something else. Its all about dopamine system, and the only ones who develop nicotine addiction are those who teach their dopamine system to react mostly to nicotine, and then when they stop using nicotine, they cant get dopamine.

My brain gets dopamine from many things. I simply dont let dopamine system get linked purely to nicotine.

Its sort of like person who does only art for fun, compared to person who does art, sports, video games, masturbation...ect. the first person who does only art for fun would be severly disturbed if doing art became impossible, where other person who does many things alongside art gets disturbed much less.

I would say I am much more addicted to alcohol than nicotine, but I do regularly go months without wine too, and I am a person who can literally make alcohol at home easily. I just dont feel high urge to smoke and drink.
