Yes, I’ve seen him as scum several times. Generally speaking, he tends to draw attention to himself the more he posts
More as town than scum lol

Lord it over me why don’t you?

I will admit that the reason why I am lynchomagnetic as town is usually due either to bad plays or karmic inertia from bad plays in past lives

Well, I’m sorry sleep was so elusive man. That sucks.

I actually have an easy time getting to sleep, I just have a fucked-up circadian rhythm that violently resists segregating sleep to normal sleep hours, as adults often need to do.

Thoth

I have played with awesome a few times and found his posting style utterly alignment-unreadable. No point for me to rank possible scum teams there.

I would like to lynch Mag1c. If he's scum then I think his partner is likely WF or Hyper

Does Casey also posting early mean anything to you? I can see the read, though I'm not sure how much stock I put in it.

Possible towntell in that Casey is smart enough to not post very early around the same time as their scummate unless as WIFOM. I take it they say WIFOM on your home site. I don't know awesome as well as Casey, but I don't think he would miss a glaring connection like that either.

Thoth

I have a bad gutread on Casey despite sympathizing with their problems mentioned in #40. Something about their posts strikes me as fake contribution.

Given that I saw Mag1c as scummy, it strikes me that he talked more about WF than Hyper despite Hyper posting more (I think, I don't have time to crunch the numbers). Makes me think that Mag1c's partner is one of those two if Mag1c is scum.

Thoth

And my computer just lost power for a moment and crashed as I was about to finish a post. Unexpected problems rarely happen when they would be convenient. I need to get a new uninterruptible power supply. It's becoming very interruptible.

Anyway, I was going to say that, if whiteflame was right in #58 that only scum got pinged, that's a moderate scumread on awesome for posting so early. How long would I have just gotten myself banned on MS and MU for angleshooting?

Why are you like this, man? We’ve wanted you to talk for a while now, and you suddenly show up with 35 minutes left pretending there’s any uncertainty.

Couldn't sleep last night, was going to post, instead took ultra-high-dose melatonin in hopes I would be awake and mobile in the forenoon, ended up rolling around in bed from 3am until 10, am now barely awake and dragging my tired eyes across the thread.

I'm well aware that vanilla setups are difficult to make reads in, but your reads don't have to be correct, or even halfway decent. All they have to do is make you readable to others.

That's an interesting way of thinking about it. I understand the importance of behavioral reads, but I am used to having reasons other than pure behavioral analysis, like flavor or mechanical analysis, to kickstart said reads.

I mean... I literally have no history of just laying down or turbolynching anyone DP1. Don't know why you'd think that would change here.

It says host test game. I can't imagine Kohai was especially interested in having us take a bunch of time that delays testing.

Thoth

I know y'all are wondering why I have been posting so little. I didn't realize that y'all were going to take this game remotely seriously. I thought we would just turbolynch each other at random so Kohai could test the host dashboard.

Thoth

I feel a deep, instinctive, visceral revulsion towards games that are not full of power roles, but it's probably for the best that I play some because I think reading behavior is both the most important aspect of Mafia and the one I am worst at.

This setup still seems to me like the winner is determined purely by RNG, but I suppose that intricate game design is none too important for a test of the host dashboard.

Thoth

I don't see the point of skipping night 1 if a Mafioso is lynched today. Seems to me like that would make the game too swingy, and that, if anything, night 1 should be skipped if a townie is lynched.

If either of you are ready for your games go ahead and post sign ups. Thoths isn’t a real mafia game and is held off site so your probably good to get it going.

It’s not offsite. The Discord server was just for private chats, and I changed that to group DMs.

Thoth

Change of plans. You won't need to be in the Discord server to play Blood on the Clocktower. We will use group DMs instead. This is because it's much harder to accidentally add someone to a group DM than to a private channel in the server.

I am unsure what time I will have. A lot depends on when it starts but it looks like a really cool game.

At first, I thought it was just a mechanical deduction game, but the more I played it, the more I realized that it is very behavioral and was designed to solve some of the problems inherent to Mafia/Werewolf.
