I was going to make the theme split that townies prefer playing town and scum prefer playing scum, but I couldn't get that info for as many people as I wanted, so I've decided to split it along a different line that's secret for now.

I am looking for 9 players. We can start with 7 or 8 if needed.

I really hope you meant he was in the POE. I have a hard time buying that theory now, as much as I want to believe it. It would take some serious WIFOM to extend the game by a mislynch just to frame me. Makes me wonder if scum have a play tonight that they think will damn near guarantee a mislynch tomorrow.

Would've been way smarter to keep him alive until LYLO and cultivate suspicion around him. What incentive do they have to kill him and let him vote in LYLO when he has the potential to fuck with their plans the most?

No, of course not. That’s why I didn’t ask anyone to do it. I said it to hint at my role so you could see in hindsight that I didn’t make it up later, or, at least, that I would have locked myself into fewer fake-claims if I were scum.

I probably only needed two people in that list, but I put everyone on it just in case.

Serious question. Aside from neglecting my night actions, since I'm probably about to get lynched and definitely going to flip innocent if I do, any suggestions for how I could have played this better?

I know this is basically a moot point since it could probably be applied to all our claims, but do you really think I took the risk of asking about Saw Gerrera and got lucky that he wasn't in the game, instead of asking about someone more minor?

I always said my role is only confirmable if I use it correctly.

Even an inherently scummy claim like Strengthener or Roleblocker is downright townie compared to claiming a confirmable role, acting like you are going to be confirmed, and the check bouncing.

I am the towniest town to ever town, but I couldn't fault any of y'all for mislynching me here. It's at least indirectly my own ass fault (that should be the name of a paving company) for neglecting my list of night actions. I do ask you all to seriously consider whether or not, if I were scum, Kohai would be okay with me claiming Vigilante knowing that I could not fake-confirm myself with a second kill last night. Even in the Suikoden game where I pulled that Leprechaun claim out of my ass a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, I only did it because Lunatic either approved it or did not make it clear enough that he did not approve it.

Did Kohai's flip make you think that the scum theme is more specific than Empire? Couldn't it just be Darth Vader or something?

I won't deny the latter, though it would be a very odd scum role.

The info it gives helps either faction, and while I haven't been around here that long, I've never seen it before, so I don't know if it's odder/more odd [unsure of correct comparative form] as town or as scum. My biggest qualm with scumreading your role is that I bet you would have claimed something similar but simpler. Anyone know roles that are similar to Confidant but not quite the same? Preferably one that doesn't make you lose life equal to its converted mana cost.

Basically the only reference I had seen to this show going into this game was a news article about a controversial scene where an Imperial officer tries to rape a woman. I get that portrayal of sexual assault in media is rightly a touchy subject, but the outrage I was seeing made me think that people were forgetting that the Empire are the bad guys. If the showmakers wanted to remind us that the Empire are not the good guys, that was a quick fix. And do you really think that no immigration officer has ever threatened someone for sexual favors?

Just a quick passing thought. Is it possible that scum straight-claimed, and one of the claimed characters is scum because they were sided with the Empire at some point during the show or its background? Based on what I understand from y'all, no outstanding character claims are weak enough that scum were liable to even ask about them unless they asked as a last-ditch resort and got lucky.

And yes, someone is definitely lying about their role claim unless Mon Mothma is a scum Petitioner.
