Agree with Banana. The game has to move forward somehow. Stagnant water is where pond scum grows. Even if 90% of the theme analysis shots miss, the 10% hits can be useful, and both the misses and hits can lead to other info that can form reads.

That's kinda my point. When you say you townread someone this early and there's no confirmation either, it's understood that the townread is just a tiny townread.

Soft-claiming is mainly to lock scum in to fewer possible characters so they have a harder time fake-claiming later. It can also spur theme analysis.

I feel like Kohai's soft-claim is wide enough that it could be scum trying to build towncred by soft-claiming and leaving open opportunities to use their 4 questions once more people have (soft-)claimed . I'm gonna ask Pie if there's a deadline for when scum have to use their questions by.

I hate it when people ping me for activity. If I'm around to read your notification, I'm going to be as active as I can be given other things to do. If I'm not around to be active, I'm not around to get your notification. All you did is clog my notifications center and give me more things to "Mark as Read".

There's not. You can't really read someone this early unless there's mechanical confirmation like Popular or Innocent Child, or the most blatant scumslip. We all understand that early reads come with asterisks and wide confidence intervals. It's still good for people to post reads so we can see how their behavior and their real or supposed reads change throughout the game.

Which would fit with scum having 4 whole questions. If it's something like Hillary and her VP, they can't straight-claim.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think Pie has enough personal investment in this theme that scum are going to be obviously opposed to Trump. Probably Hillary and Tim Kaine.

I will also say that my character is a real person. I'm still curious if anyone has events or something other than people. I don't think we should gang up on someone who says this.

I can't say I have any real reads so far. Kohai asking me for more details came off as scummy. Rex's one post was weird, but I can't say whether it strikes me as town-weird or scum-weird.

Mafia games normally involve town lynching people and scum night-killing people, but I think this time we should all just try to get along. There are some very fine people on both sides.
