Spent all day building a 12 foot ramp only to find out I have to make it 26 feet to be up to code fml
If anyone gives you shit about code, tell them to sit in a wheelchair until you finish the 26-foot ramp

Y'all are reading Shining's post about, "are y'all listening to this shit", as seeing through my dayvig. I think he bought it and was trying to cast doubt on it.
Thoth · 9 months ago
The one caveat is the bid for the Dayvig. I wouldn't be surprised if scum saw through that ruse early and therefore didn't see a risk in it.

Why would it occur to them?

I'm not one to speak in certainties about ongoing Mafia games, but I feel confident enough that we win by lynching either Mag1c or whiteflame today and the other tomorrow.
Thoth · 9 months ago
Magoroth is scum, has sucked at flying under the scumdar all game, bussed Shining, and during DP2, Shining made a bid to get his own scummate dayvigged just as a ruse (high risk, low reward gambit).
(Post #72) I actually think this clears Magoroth, so maybe my dayvig lie was good for something after all.

I'm putting it there for now. Someone else can drop the hammer.
Although it did just cross my mind that the Sensor claim could be a ploy to dupe myself and Wryly, since we know we are town and it town-confirms us, so we would think the supposed Sensor is townie too. That is, assuming Wryly is town. Kill one, bring the other to final three having earned their trust, and bam, you win.

VTL Mag1c
Thoth · 9 months ago
What I kinda suspect right now is that Mag1c is a bus driver and swapped himself with a townie
Thoth · 9 months ago
I'm reasonably convinced that Mag1c is a scum redirective role and not a GF/lawyer/whatever.
Thoth · 9 months ago
I probably won't run Culture for my next turn in the queue. I have some other ideas.
Thoth · 9 months ago
Post #3 today implies Magoroth knows what a Tailor does. Is this a known role in the communit(y/ies) he has played in?

Nice deployment of ChatGPT in post #183

When faced with a mislynch, I'm not even sure there's a role in the game where he's better off getting lynched than claiming.
Maybe Hunter? Or whatever y'all call the role that kills someone else upon death.
Anyway, to buy Wryly's theory that Mag1c stole Rex's vanilla and fake-claimed it, I would have to buy that Mag1c thought to imitate Vader's writing style. I'm not putting it past him, but that would be far stronger as part of a case against whiteflame than against Mag1c.
Thoth · 9 months ago
Not if Rex was the Vanilla, that's why he was apathetic about getting lynched, and Mag1c stole his Vanilla and fake claimed it.

Thoth · 9 months ago
For the trillionth time, I still think this all boils down to whether or not we trust that Magoroth is the Sensor.
Thoth · 9 months ago
This opens the question of why scum would Tailor Rex to look like a Bleeder. Also, unless you want to argue that Governor is protective, Bleeder and whiteflame both get credibility since whiteflame is the only other claimed quasi-protective role.
I checked one of Vader's games on DebateArt and found that it did have a Vanilla in it. That's a point in Mag1c's favor.
Thoth · 9 months ago
Another assumption you have to make though
This is one of those gutreadable behavioral tells I mentioned in my previous post. This comes off to me as scum pointing us in their desired direction.
Thoth · 9 months ago
Rex said it would make sense when we read his flip. Except it didn't.
Excellent point. While all the flips so far appear to be pretty much in Vader's writing style, I did think earlier that, if I had to pick one flip as looking like someone else wrote it, it would be Rex's. As I explained in post #95, Vader said that scum would write a Tailor's entire fake role card, and whiteflame is probably the only person who would think to imitate the game host's writing style. As badly as I have been gutreading some of Mag1c's behavior, I'm almost ready to death-tunnel whiteflame over this.
Maybe there's some reason why Rex thought his flip be ex post facto self-explanatory. whiteflame, I'd like your take on that.

Brings a whole new meaning to the role Mafia Goon
Thoth · 9 months ago
The good news about our situation is that scum can't avoid bringing a confirmed townie to final three. If whiteflame is town, I think this will likely come down to who he protects tonight. If he guards the NK target, then Wryly and I vote out whoever is left.

Do mafia ever get two JOATs?
I guess it's plausible, especially since Shining's JOAT had killing and investigative powers, with no hint of ability-manipulation like Redirector or Roleblocker. Division of labor.
Thoth · 9 months ago
Anyway, by injury I meant an injury to a Bears player which contributed to the Bears losing. It sounds to me like Rex's character was an injury suffered by a player on the other team, and that player turned things around in spite of the injury.
Thoth · 9 months ago
On second look, it looks like Rex was an injury.
Yeah but what's his character?
Thoth · 9 months ago
Do you mean you left instructions with Vader to only allow a Mag1c lynch and he misunderstood?
I told him that, if anyone but Mag1c were lynched, I would use my Governor ability to change the lynch to him. Vader thought I meant that I was only using it if I were going to be lynched.
*Randall Cobb's Week 16 Touchdown - Roleblocker
Then I am betting that scum got role claims rather than 'character' claims. Blindly claiming Roleblocker is one heck of a risk.
Unless maybe there is a scum Roleblocker?
Anyone want to report evidence of one?
Thoth · 9 months ago
Given that Shining had a Rolecop, I am inclined to sus anything that implied non-public knowledge about anyone's role. Like Mag1c saying he thought Wryly was Cop.
Thoth · 9 months ago
Just throwing it out there: If we somehow prove that scum used the Tailor, whiteflame is the scummiest scum who ever did scum. See post #95.

"experienced" referring to experience with the DebateCraft meta
Thoth · 9 months ago
I think you are either the most experienced person here or the most experienced who isn't Mag1cman, so please tell me: Is Tailor showing scum the Tailoree's card common enough that you can reasonably assume it does so?
