most day roles are vote alterations. Moving a lynch to someone or a day vig. None of those lose utility once claimed.

I hinted at it already, but I'll be blunt about it now: REF told me there is a role that can interfere with mine. That's all I know, but since he went out of his way to state that to me, I can't imagine it's just a passive role that prevents me from using it on one person.

I'm waiting for others to chime in. I believe I've been very clear on the why of it. You've made clear you don't care, I want to be sure no one else does.

And that makes it way too easy for a survivor to side with scum, which is what they normally do anyway. Essentially making you scum #4.

you scum hunting has nothing to do with your role unless it’s a day role and there is nothing you are going to do that’s going to get you out of being the prime target. So what’s the difference with claiming now or when you are about to die at the end of the dp. You outed as a tp. You know people are not coming off that. So regardless of whether you claim now or later it will not make a difference. You are claiming before the dp ends which will negate your role anyway per you.

It does make a difference, and that's because it is a day use role, which I thought should be pretty clear from what I've been saying so far. If you want it to be useful, then yes, it does matter whether I out my role now or after it's used. If you don't care about that because you don't care about the utility of said role, then I guess there's no helping it. Doesn't seem like I'm going to convince you. I do want others to chime in, though. And, to be clear, I'm suggesting that we focus on scum hunting because that will help make the use of my role more valuable to town. You now know what I am. There are almost certainly 3 scum in this game and if your sole focus is on lynching me, then you'll miss an opportunity for town to improve their odds of winning. I know I'm likely fucked regardless, but I'm trying anyway for whatever that's worth.

Fine, then I'll come clean: I am the TP, I can win with scum or town, and I'm good with the latter. Pesmerga was given to me as a fake claim, and yes, it literally does say all that in the claim - the only things I read off of the Wiki were his affiliations. My real character is Yuber. The PM questions whether I'm human or demon, I loathe True Runes yet wield one and pop into huge historical moments to wreak havoc. I'm the TP Survivor.

It's late and I'm exhausted. I will be available much of the day to respond to more questions, but this is all I have for answers right now anyway. If it takes a full claim, I'll give it. It is easy to verify.

Whiteflame, I'd like more information about what you mean by member of the New State Army, as much as you can give me without toeing the line of copy-pasting your PM.

I've given as much info as was presented in my PM about my character in post #219. It did not mention the New State Army. I was asked by both Mikal and Wryly to state whether I was Scarlet or Toran. It wasn't in the post, so I looked it up. That's how I found the info on the New State Army, which appears to be his current affiliation in the games.

*shrug* If you're going to scumread me for my character, there's not much I can do about that, especially given what you think the theme split is. I know it's not correct, but I am an outlier, that much is clear.

Just to be clear, I'll paraphrase the details of what was sent with my character:

I'm the Black Knight. It's my mission to hunt down Yuber, I'm obsessed with it. I apparently don't seem to age, no one has ever seen my eyes, and I have the Crimson Sword.

We have to be careful about how many of us claim our characters. That being said, Mikal's right that I'm an outlier, so I think keeping my character claim in reserve wasn't going to be any help.

All I'll say about my role for now is that it gives me some idea of at least one other role in the game, especially based on REF's clarification. Not sure if that role is scum or town, but I usually only see it faked.

Alright, I'm frustrated and tired, but I wanted to get through this before the night was up.

I'll start by answering the questions I've been posed:

It says my character is a former member of the Liberation Army and a current member of the New State Army. I've tried doing some research into how that slots into the whole Scarlet vs. Toran split, but I haven't been successful at figuring it out, so here we are. I'm fine character claiming if desired.

As for where I see things going so far:

I'm hesitant to get invested in a theme split, even if Mikal seems to have a lot of info to back it. His pursuit of a theme split does ring as pretty townie. I don't think he'd push this kind of effort this early as scum, just seems more likely he'd be either pushing for more information like character claims to feel everyone out or less information to keep his claim more hidden.

I buy Max's claim. Fake-claiming Miller has happened before and it's certainly not impossible here, I just don't buy that he's done that this early and with no prompting.

I can't say I've seen a lot of outlying posts from Magic despite the votes that accumulated on him. He could be trying to throw sus at WyIted to get heat off of himself, but I doubt it. WyIted's posting so far does stand out and I think the case Magic's made against him has merit.

Other than that, I'm still trying to process. Probably will need to reread these posts when I can put this day behind me entirely, but didn't want to end the day without posting anything substantive.

I apologize guys, but some of our customers are being dicks and overloaded me with samples I don't have the reagents to process on the one fucking day when my major source of help is on vacation. I'm going to be slammed well into the afternoon, so I will try to catch up on this in the evening, but it's Shabbat and I can't promise I'll be available until tomorrow at this rate. FML.

Never played Suikoden, don't know anything about it, but I am loving this artwork. Very detailed. Also, props to REF for the flavor text. Don't know if that comes baked in with the game or he's just really enjoying himself, but either way, impressive.

Anyway, this is just my check-in before signing off for the night. I should be active tomorrow. A heads-up for later in the game: my wife is getting surgery on Monday, I cannot promise what my availability will look like on that day as that will be pretty all-consuming.
