Considering the fact that it didn't clear or town confirm any of the scum members, I don't see how it was a problem in this game. He didn't respond to that so I am guessing he realized he was in the wrong on that count, so we can drop it lol

Its a common misconception that certain characters just have to much plot armor but a xenomorph actually doesnt see them as a threat and therefor will try to use them as a incubator for a facehugger instead to hatch more of their species.

At least I tried giving logical arguments. I admit I was dead wrong. The tailor mechanic completely blindsided me as I didn't even think such a role could even exist. If it wasn't for that role I would have town locked pie and probably would have been able to come around to mikal being wf's partner.

It happens man, I feel ya. I had just come off an amazing game in terraria where I caught onto two scum back to back just to blunder in the LYLO of the last game. These games happen so often I've gotten better at just shrugging it off and moving on to the next one and using it as a learning experience.

I would think that my role card supersedes all other sources of information.

This one might be a movie knowledge thing. Xenomorphs are pretty ruthless, the only time they won't attack someone is if they plan on using a person to capture them for a facehugger for the continued survival of their species. There are a few cases in the movies where Xenomorphs will randomly not kill a person they are chasing, and instead capture them for this purpose. I suppose I can see how you could interpret that as working against a xenomorph, but it is not actually the case.

Its funny I was raging about GP long before you ever were. Eventually I just stopped caring as much about wins and losses and then it just didn't effect me as much any more, even though it is frustrating to put a lot of time and effort in on a team based game if one person is throwing like that, so like I said, with GP I get it. I think these other players though are genuinely trying. Even us vets get it wrong, as I did in the last game.

To be fair I think an every night tailor would be a bit OP. And I don't think he's dumb either, lol I have seen plenty of people get mad at a tailor, it's understandable. I did say this game was swingy though, and I only felt comfortable putting a tailor in because of how much power town had.

Could whiteflame's tailor have altered any parts of the flip, or only the role, e.g., Tailor, Apportioner? I would think the entire flip since otherwise the role might not fit with the character and justification.

Good game. Honestly this game was far too scum sided and having scum team be able to flip a person like that is bastard modding. In the future I strongly recommend letting players know bastard elements exist.

It's a 1x role first of all, and second it didn't do anything for clearing either Mikal or Whiteflame from the POE. At most it added others into the POE that might have otherwise been seen as solid town locked. If almost every player can be town locked on their claim alone, that would suggest the opposite of what you are proposing, that the game is actually town sided. Town had multiple investigative roles, a protective role, 2 if pie was ever killed. I definitely dis-agree that this role is bastard.

Flavor claiming meta is kind of a recent meta that stuck. And I can see both sides to it. In fact as scum I have been able to use hints in the flavor claims to piece together power roles so it definitely has potential to backfire on town just as much as it could help them. It's something that should be decided on a case by case basis. I don't have enough data to say if its considerably helped town more than its hurt town, I would have to research past games, but it would be an interesting experiment. That said, it's not something we have to do in every game, though it tends to be a good activity starter.

I mean even if it did result in scum outing themselves, its kind of a lame way to win

Endgame thoughts:

So this biggest shocker to most of you here will be that there actually wasn't a yakuza, whiteflame tailored casey to look like a yakuza, which was a brilliant move by the scum team which caused a lot of chaos and confusion this game. That said, while you could argue the yakuza was ultimately the reason for Ref's demise, I don't think it did much in the way of clearing either scum from the POE, more just kind of threw everyone else into it who might otherwise get town cred for roles and claims.

Mafia definitely played very well, and to be fair, town did not do horrible or anything. The thoth mislynch was very unfortunate and was a result of a miscommunication. I kind of knew he was going to get CC'ed when he claimed he was a xenomorph, and while technically a face hugger is part of the xenomorph species, the full grown xenomorph is already kind of known under that nomenclature. I think if he had seen some of the movies he would have known that was a risky thing to claim, even though he was technically correct. Town losing one of their main protective role's early was pretty tough.

The rex mislynch and logic behind it made sense given you thought there was a yakuza. I actually had that role as an everynight character cop, but decided to nerf it last minute because I thought it was too OP in combined with all of towns other power roles, so I made it even night to balance it out a little better. The character cop was meant to give town an edge though considering mafia weren't provided fake claims. Mafia ended up claiming their actual characters so it didn't effect them too negatively either way.

The theme split was "Creators VS Creations". Engineers created humanity, and David 8 Experimented on the Xenomorphs to create the Xeno's and facehuggers we know and are familiar with today. This is why other characters like Peter Weyland and Boy Cavalier were not in the game. Also as much as I wanted to, I couldn't put a ton of Alien Earth characters in the game yet, because there is still a lot of unknown details about certain characters and species as the show is not fully finished releasing.

My final thoughts on DP3, is that pie played it as well as he could have. I feel his frustration, he was making very good points. Mikal kind of gambled and went all in by buddying whiteflame, and at first I was a bit worried and wondered if he should have just bussed whiteflame, but I could see his strategy was kind of an all or nothing gambit to manipulate and bully kohai into voting pie, and to his credit it worked. Had whiteflame flipped tailor, it would have been pretty bad for scum and I don't think it would have taken town long to figure out there wasn't actually a yakuza. Which would have basically cleared pie who the main argument against him from everyone but mikal was that he wasn't the OG scum but a likely recruit candidate. It also would have cleared david, making scums only mislynch option going into LYLO castin, which would have been a tough sell. So while mikals play was risky, it was probably the play to make in the end.

Grats to pie for solving it, and I am sorry that it didn't work out, but mafia played hard and manipulated town against you well, so good games to all.
