Maybe the game is imbalanced already or he built this night 0 infomation into the game prior to game start, we don’t know the full setup. Anything is possible.
For my DnD game, I was going to put in a Town role (Whiteflame was randed to receive this role btw) that would find out a true piece of information about the game and one that could be either true or false from the host, every night. I decided in advance which info he would receive.
But yeah having read through the setup further it appears there are roles that interfere with investigative results, like that Spy thing
Apparently drunkenness is permanent and I imagine chosen by the host on night -1, there’s some shit like “you won’t know what role they thought they were if they were drunk”, which has to be night -1
Poisoning is a night ability, I don’t think it has to be any one of us tho it could be anyone in the game.

The Storyteller will not tell players when they are Drunk or Poisoned, and will go through the motions as though their abilities were functioning normally. If a player uses a once-per-game ability while Poisoned, they may not use that ability again."
I think it’s borderline OP to have both Banana and Shining’s roles in the game. One of them is probably drunk I’d say. Or lying

We ALL start chats with whoever we are sure is Town, only two people per chat (three including Thoth, I guess). Then everyone claims their role privately to that person.
We don’t need scum knowing what roles are in the game. If necessary we can pressure people by forcing them to publicly claim
