Magoroth 3

One Hundred Rolecards

The role list is as follows:

Town/Mafia/3p Any

Repeat to infinity.

Anyone may submit roles to this setup. The only rules are:

a) All roles should be able to work with any alignment.

b) Don’t submit anything you wouldn’t want used on yourself.

At the start of the game I randomly assign roles to players from this list. Every night people can choose to “reroll” instead of taking a night action; at the end of the night they will be given a different, random role from this list.

Owing to the difficulty of making an order of operations for this shit, the OoO will be randomised.

Basics

Town - Has majority at game start, typical shit

Mafia - Has a factional night kill along with their own abilities

3p - Can be Serial Killer, Survivor or Executioner

Last wills allowed. A last will is a message that is displayed upon death if you don’t get sanitised by a Janitor. Used for reads, PR night actions, etc.

Suicide not allowed.

The Scum are allowed to use both their factional kill as well as their role's ability.

Win Conditions

Eliminate the opposite team.

Magoroth 0

-- Cycle the following night actions until resolved: --

1. Redirector controls someone/

2. Bus Driver busses

3. Coward/Hider hides

4. Roleblocker role blocks

-- end cycle --

I will cycle the night actions involving these roles a random number of times from 2 to 4.

If there are any cycles, I will run the odds of which night actions are likely to occur (as in, which swap/bus drive), and then randomly select which action goes through.

Example:

{A = Bus Driver, B = Escort, C = Mafia}

A: Bus A/C

B: Roleblock C

C: Attack A

I RNG and find out I should run the night actions twice.

The current night action are:

A => {A}

=> {C}

B: => {C} (role block)

C: => {A}

First, the bussing happens:

A => {A}

=> {C}

B => {A}

C => {}

Then, the roleblocking is done:

A /=> {A}

/=> {C}

B => {A}

C => {C}

The bussing tries to run again and fails, as the Roleblocker is targeting the Bus Driver after the first cycle:

B => {A}

C => {C}

then the roleblocking again

B => {A}

C => {C}

there are no loops, the night actions are resolvable, so it ends with the escort roleblocking the Bus Driver, and the Mafia killing itself.

A quick, easy, simple nightless Mafia game

Town -

1 Lazy Sheriff

3 Lazy Citizen

Mafia -

1 Lazy Mafioso

1 Lazy Godfather

No roles have night abilities or abilities of any kind.

Mafia has a private daychat.

On D1, due to a lazy bureaucracy, only 3 votes are required for a majority.

Lynch is mandatory every single day.

Days last 48 hours or until a lynch is achieved.

Win condition: Town must lynch the Mafia, Mafia has to achieve vote parity.

Fewer and fewer Amberites are left. The remaining princes of Amber are in a dash to find the guilty party before more and more deaths occur. Speaking of which, where’s Gerard?

“I heard something untoward last night from the direction of his chambers."

Sure enough, Gerard lies crumpled, dead on the floor. He has a small bullet wound with pink residue in his chest. He was shot to death last night.

One of us did not survive the night. Gerard was found dead last night. He was shot.

His role was Prince of Amber (Vanilla Townie). We found his last will:

My updated reads and most current reads are in post 498 in dp2. Please read through these and take into account how many of my reads also lined up with Floras reads. I hope you take them into consideration going into dp3 if I die. To be clear, I think scum is in Caine, Bleys, and Brand. Keep in mind both Caine and Fiona tried casting considerable doubt towards Bleys, obviously take that with a grain of salt, but it is a very easy mislynch slot if it doesn’t get replaced and we cannot afford a mislynch. Hopefully that slot gets replaced and you are able to read them better but in the meantime, place a heavy focus on those three. I think Random is town, and I know this player very well, they seem to be sticking to their town meta. Llewella feels town as well, but definitely give them some consideration, as we haven't seen them play a scum game yet. Good luck guys, you got this!

In addition, the Royal Herald has posted yet another notice today. It reads:

When does a man die? When he is hit by a bullet? No! When he suffers a disease? No! When he ate a soup made out of a poisonous mushroom? No! When his heart stops? No! A man dies when he is forgotten!

DP1 - Martin (Prince of Amber).

NP1 -

  1. Julian - ???
  2. Flora (Prince of Amber)

DP2 -

  1. Fiona (Lord of Chaos) - Lynched.
  2. Oberon (Prince of Amber) - Died at the end of the day.

NP3 -

  1. Gerard (Prince of Amber)

Magoroth 557

The court is silent as a new day dawns on the Kingdom of Amber.

As Court begins, two absences are noted.

"Where's Julian and Flora?"

"They're probably still asleep."

"I'm not so sure. The guilty party may perhaps have struck again."

The now-nine princes of Amber make their way into Julian and Flora's chambers, where they discover their mangled corpses. They were killed by parties unknown last night.

Two of us did not survive the night.

Julian was found dead last night. They appear to have been mangled by a Manticora as he slept.

We could not determine their role, alignment or last will.

Flora was found dead last night. They died after a disagreement with a meal caused their stomach to extend and they exploded in a bloody mess.

Their role was Prince of Amber (Vanilla Townie).

They left us a last will:

Will: Wo kaun Huey? Tumhare papa.

So to start off, I was Jailed last night. The person who jailed me should be 100% considered town because there is no reason why the scum variant would jail me when they can just mislynch me. I’m going to post in my will what I wrote in private Jail chat. I will summarize what the Jailer said to avoid disclosing their identity.

Jailer: I jailed you Pie. Tell me why I shouldn’t execute it.

Pie: Just execute me lol. I know I’m town. I’m still going to stick the facts of the case that there was a 33% chance that the person in the pool was scum. Banana’s behavior was scummy. You can agree with that or not. But at the very least, I’ve done what I said we should do at the beginning of the game. 3 vanillas. Force them to duke it out or choose another person. I chose Banana. Banana basically wagoned me the entire game based on a bandwagon.

I came up the with plan that would implicate me. You can probably just kill me and reduce the Vanilla claims even more. I’ve already stated what the plan for tomorrow is. Get Fiona to claim. Then get Brand to claim and figure out the lynch. Cause the Vanilla pool will be small anyways.

Whoever you are though, I know for a fact you are town. Doesn’t make sense for scum to Jail me here. A good reason to keep me alive is I can confirm you tomorrow

Honestly, it may just be a good idea to just kill me and analyze the wagon. Because the tie thing is 100% AI. Llewella was also AWOL which is another line of inquiry. Fiona should be forced to claim. Brands is interesting.

Tell Mago to ping when otherwise I’ll be checking this periodically. Happy to see you’ve already submitted tho

The tie notion is really interesting to me because it absolves people of responsibility. Caine and Julian both were doing this. Random disappearing at the end is also sus tbh.

Jailer: Reveals their identity to me and gives reasoning that they Jailed me which further solidifies my town read of them. Says they will they executed me in DP2

Pie: No, if you execute me. Don’t say that you did it. It makes zero sense for scum to execute me. Whoever did it has to be town, and we need to keep ur roleblock hidden.

Reads:

Lean Scum:

Fiona - I think Fiona is a worthy target for analysis. Joining the wagon with zero reasoning is just bad. Like horrible level of play. It’s stupid. Don’t know if they would be this blatant. Also, for the record I don’t know who this individual is.

Caine: With Banana flipping town and me being Vanilla, combined with the last minute switch to the 50/50, I feel like there’s something here worth investigating. He usually is inactive in scum chat if I remember correctly, which explains why he would be doing all the testing.

Tilt Scum:

Deirdre - I would be wary of Deirdre as well. He was initially supporting the wagon on me, but the switch to Martin seemed like a buddying effort. You’re going to lose a lynch if it’s 9-3. Cause with my execution, it will be 6-3, but it will open up the floor and go to square one.

Llewella - I think Llewella is slight scum here. He’s claiming he’s purposefully not posting but that’s NAI, and he shouldn’t get a pass for it. Put him on a wagon and make him squeal. I think Llewella/Gerard is an interesting pairing because they’ve been contrarian but not a hard core scumread. Llewella’s obsession with Bley’s should also give info on him if there are further flips. I also didn’t like the disproportionate response to Brand. The logic leap there didn’t make sense to me.

Null:

Oberon - Oberon is also an inactive slot. They defended Brand pretty hard and were buddying me, so there’s something there.

Brand - Brand pre sub is definitely scummy. Post sub, I would probably read as townie, but she should definitely claim. I can definitely see Thoth subbing out as scum under the guise of being busy.

Julian - Not much here. I think this slot also got replaced and showed up late. The 50/50 push

Lean Town:

Random - I think Random is town. That whole public post about just everyone using their accounts and Mago responding to it feels town and an attempt to game the system.

Tilt Town :

Gerard - I already said that Gerard seems to be try harding this, which is NAI at the most recent stage. But the whole inquiry at the beginning didn’t make sense to me at all. I agree with people that it was doing something for the sake of doing something, but he’s not a priority. If he continues to live though, I would be very very wary.

At the worst, we’ve significantly reduce the ability of scum to claim Vanilla. They’re going to be forced to claim a PR or face the exact same scrutiny with 2 flipped Vanillas behind them

Jailer: Probably will execute

Pie: That’s fine, I’m going laugh when Luna sees that I’m Vanilla. I’m interested to see who dies though cause Luna is the obv Jailer target.

I stg town paranoia going to be the end of us

————————————

That’s the gist of our conversation. There’s obviously some irrelevant stuff missing that the Jailer can confirm. Final thoughts though. If scum also have a Jailer, then it will be 5-3, which just sucks, but everyone should mass claim in alphabetical order outside of Caine. That should reveal at least one scum because of the game randomization. All reads should be reset at MYLO. There will probably be CCs because it’s MYLO but that improves our odds to 50/50, especially with reads from DP1.

Also, I would be wary of the Traitor. They know who their partners are so if they die at any point, read them well. Scum in the PM don’t know, so take note of that.

Whoever the role cop (hopefully there is one) is should target whoever claims Vanilla because scum are likely to claim Vanilla. If you were smart, you investigated Caine last night cause Pie was the lynch anyways.

Anyways, wish I could be there for mechanical analysis, but I have faith in town. Stick to your guns. Don’t be bullied. Good luck.

The King's Royal Herald has posted an official notice, stamped with the Royal Seal of Amber. It reads:

Listen up! Let’s say you drink too much strawberry milk, and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, but it’s cold outside your bed. You don’t want to get up, but the urge to urinate is just too strong! You make up your mind to go! You run to the bathroom, stand in front of the toilet, and let loose! You think that all your life has led to this moment! But then you realize. It isn’t the bathroom! You’re still in bed! That feeling of lukewarm wetness spreads like wildfire! But you don’t stop! You can’t stop! That’s what I’m talking about! That’s the truth of the strawberry milk! Do you get it?

Role Pool

Town Role Pool

Regent

Description: You are a minor regent for the Kingdom of Amber, serving in the main regent’s stead when they are unable to govern.

You were forced into hiding by the threat of assassination, using your contacts and connections to covertly organize a response against the Chaos infiltrators.

Ability: Post one message, anonymously, at the start of the following day. You may not reveal your identity in this post.

Jail Officer

Description: You are a noble Amberite in charge of a wing of the castle dungeon, discreetly detaining suspects and gathering information on behalf of the Crown.

Once per game, you may optionally execute your captive, killing them.

Jailing is a perfect roleblock, meaning that it roleblocks roles that are normally immune to roleblock.

Guard Captain

Description: You are an Amberite handpicked to lead a section of the Royal Guard. After the conspiracy was uncovered, you went into hiding along with the rest of your men. You now wait to strike at the enemy from the shadows.

Coroner

Description: You are a prince of Amber skilled in medical matters, handpicked to assist the castle’s surgeons in performing autopsies and determining causes of death.

Ability: Check a dead player at night. You will find out their role and alignment, and their last will.

Trump Master

Description: You are skilled in the usage of the Trumps - tarot cards that can be used to mentally communicate with others from anywhere in the multiverse.

Unbeknownst to most but a select few, it is possible to use the Trumps to spy on targets, passively feeling the connection and allowing the target’s thoughts to enter your mind, thereby reading their mind.

Ability: Once per game, check a player’s exact role and alignment. You detect Third Party roles as being Town Amberites.

Amberite

You are a prince of Amber, loyal to the Kingdom.

Ability: You have the power to vote.

Ability: You have the final say on the Mafia night actions.

Prince of Chaos (Disguiser)

Description: You are a Chaosite from the royal family, with shapeshifting abilities and the ability to walk the black road the straddles the multiverse.

Slot: Killing

Interrogator

Description: A torturer and interrogator using their skills to extract information for Chaos.

Slot: Killing

Blackmailer

Description: A chaosite sorcerer, specialised in mind control and manipulation tactics.

Ability: Curse a player at night into executing a demand of yours the following day on the pain of death. This demand has the following restrictions imposed on it:

  1. You cannot set demands that imply a time limit.
  2. You cannot blackmail someone into not posting.
  3. You cannot demand more than two things at the same time.
  4. You cannot disable a player’s ability to vote. You may, however, ask them not to vote for a specific player (this is disabled at MyLo/LyLo).
  5. You cannot blackmail someone into claiming they are currently blackmailing.

Traitor

Description: A double agent working for the Courts of Chaos, deep undercover.

Ability: Read a player’s last will and optionally modify it. Two charges. Player will not be informed.

Special Mechanics: You do not have access to the Mafia night chat. You know the identity of the Lord of Chaos. The Mafia will be informed that at least one Traitor exists, but not who it is.

Slot: Support

Third Party Role Pool

Gunsmith

Description: A greedy merchant willing to sell firearms to the highest bidder. You have the formula for the special gunpowder that works in Amber, and can make as many bullets as you please.

Ability: Craft a one-use gun at night and give it to a player of your choice.

Win Condition: On odd nights, you win with the Mafia. On Even nights, you win with the Town.

Associate

Description: A noble retainer, recently knighted upon the field of battle, eager to prove their worth and in search of a liege lord.

Ability: On night 0, prior to game start, pick a target. This target will become your Liege.

You will gain a permanent anonymous night chat with your Liege. Once per game, you may save them from a lynch or a night kill.

Win Condition: Your liege must survive to the end. You do not care who wins, and you don’t have to be alive at the end of the game.

If your liege dies, you become a Jester, and will have to be lynched during the day to win.

Rogue Ty’iga

Description: A female demon or inhabiting, bodiless spirit born of the primal Chaos, possesssing an unsuspecting Amberite.

Ability: After you die, possess a player during the day. You temporarily take over their account and are able to vote and post from it, but you do not know their role, alignment, or any of their feedback.

Win Condition: You must die; the faction that killed you must then lose. For lynches, this is defined as the faction of the hammer voter.

Sadist

Description: A demented, sick individual, who wishes to torture their victims for all eternity, and has no interest in petty politics or the conflict at hand.

Mechanics: On night 0, receive a random target from the host. You and your target must be the last men standing.

Ability: You may choose to torment your target by jailing them (ability has to be used during the day, and then gets executed at night), or by sending them an anonymous message through the host at night.

If your target dies at night, your new target will become the one who killed them; you will be informed of who the killer is. If your target gets lynched during the day, your new target will be the hammer voter.

If you ever vote your target and they actually get lynched with you voting them, you commit suicide.

Win Condition: You and your target must be the only players left alive.

Executioner

Description: An odd loner whose life’s goal is revenge.

Ability: You have a one-use activated bulletproof vest that renders you immune to death night.

Apocalypse Mafia

This game will have 13 players.

Things I have been forced to reveal:

a) this setup is experimental. Sign up at your own risk.

b) There is a Town faction, with majority at game start.

c) There is a scum faction with at least three members. There is a scum chat with at least two members in it. At least one of the scum isn’t in the scum chat, and the other scum do not know their identity, but the “lost wolf” knows the identity of at least one of the other scum.

d) Rolecards are mostly accurate.

e) I will publicly answer questions in the game thread if I am asked, and I will never lie, but if unable to answer will reply with “No comment”

I am not currently accepting signups until after Banana’s game.
