I have a problem with Vader, REF, and Mikal accepting the offer. It screamed recruitment imo. The offer was too good to be true. I find it hard to believe they didn’t think their affiliation could change.
I knew it was a recruitment offer, I asked. I wanted to switch sides, as I dislike playing as town.
I also received a recruitment offer - I accepted but for some reason it didn't go through.

Let’s just say I have very strong feeling that claiming character is part of anti claim and the forced outing of your character counts as a character reveal. That said I’m really emphasizing no more claims or soft claims.
I mean, I agree but I don't understand the vehemence. My PM doesn't imply that it's particularly dangerous, I'm thinking yours must. Or you just really, really don't want to claim but I can't see scum who doesn't want to claim doing something so bald-faced to discourage it. One thing I want - does anyone else have something in their PM which implies that there are dire consequences to character claims? You can just say you do, no need to elaborate.

This was bad for me cause the only DP I got was the one I hate the most and a bunch of real life shit happened, but it was fun to watch. Good on Luna for figuring it out.
I have a strong suspicion of who Kohai is and, like Thoth said, a good reason to townread him. I’ll leave it at that. I also have good reason to townread Thoth as I said earlier. Guess we’re just generally on the same wavelength because I’m also sussing Luna just a tad. Be able to explore that more after he softs.
With a fake claim on the table and a seven-player game I'm not putting much stock in softs. If anything, scum would be incentivized to soft because they have nothing to fear and everything to gain. I personally love to do this as scum. This is what makes me most suspicious of Thoth, not the supposedly TMI stuff others have pointed out - why breadcrumb an important character DP1 with no pressure? Seems more scum-motivated. Also find his oh-I-really-shouldn't-do-this way of outing Kohai as an apparently important character instead of just letting his soft stand unmolested. I think he might be 3P - solving the game genuinely but in a way which is indifferent to the anti-town implications of revealing information.

Figured I'd post this even though I don't plan to launch it until Jan/Feb. Just to get some people down. Feel free to skip me on the list as it's a twelve player game with an experimental concept.
The theme is Ruyi Zhuan, or Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, a particularly lavish harem drama which explored the reign of the Qianlong Emperor, a golden age during the Qing Dynasty. A sequel to Empresses in the Palace, one of the most acclaimed harem dramas of all time, it follows the life of the 'Erased Empress', a real historical figure about whom relatively little is known, aside from the fact that she came from the Nara clan, became step-Empress, and then cut her hair in defiance of the Emperor, after which he erased her as thoroughly as he could from the artistic and historical record, confining her to her palace for the remainder of her days. The protagonist of the Empresses in the Palace, Niohuru Zhenhuan, serves as the imposing Empress Dowager during this series.
Theme will not be terribly important for playing the game, as the setup will involve the Emperor being aloof and confirmed as town (he will have no vote and will be deathproof, and he will win with the town). The Empress Dowager will be unique character with powerful abilities. All of the other characters will be concubines, who will unlock roles or lose them as they rise and fall in rank, which will be governed by favor - something the emperor will distribute among the concubines during twilight. This makes manipulating the emperor a critical component of victory for both town and mafia. Most roles will be either even or odd to prevent the game from becoming too swingy, with permanent passive roles only being open to two of the ten concubines at the highest ranks. As harem dramas usually involve just about everyone being underhanded and sneaky to sometimes downright evil, there is not really an obvious good/evil split.

Rex is almost making it sound like I didn't know that Suikoden is about recruiting the 108 Stars of Destiny, which, whether he meant to or not, is basically insulting me by accusing me of not reading the information he posted in game threads and not looking up the most basic information about the game. Mikal said there were factors that determined which characters were recruitable and that you wouldn't know unless you had played Suikoden.
I said that you did know this, but you let Mikal scare you away from it with his bullshit.
Joshua’s as strengther
This was because when Leknaat tried to counteract Windy's half of the Gate Rune with hers and failed (because her sister was more powerful) Joshua channeled the power of the Dragon Rune to bolster her and allow her to destroy more of the army that her sister had summoned.
The reason I didn’t SoP hated was because I couldn’t get an answer on whether or not it goes away at LYLO/MYLO. Wanted to avoid a scenario where I’m just kept alive until the last DP and then quickhammered.
I probably would’ve just grit my teeth and claimed without the Cop ability cause not telling town about the Hated and claiming it later is very sus, but having the cop ability gave me idea to just hide the hated, cop someone NP1, reveal cop results DP2, and then get killed by scum NP2.
By the time I had left the thread and came back, Whiteflame had already submitted a shot at me, so there was no point in claiming there either, and I don’t know how one just predicts all that happening and SoP claims before it does.
I thought that you not SOPing hated was smart in this situation. In theory you could have taken that role to mylo/lylo but only if the mafia recruit failed. It was a way to kneecap town and force them to waste a lynch on the cop if mafia got kneecapped with a failed recruit.
That was my claim, that was the janitor. For you to call that short sighted you HAVE to admit that it was retarded to put multiple healing roles in the game, and I am not even saying that, you are inferring that by saying I made a dumb decision by using a janitored claim. Makes no sense lol. Means you knew that this would cause some chaos when you designed the game. I am in an uninformed minority, I have no clue what role im janitoring especially from an inactive player who hinted nothing about what he was. Whatever his claim was, was what I was going to have to stick with, and I played it the same way I would have as town.
My issue was that you didn't claim the janitored role, which was 1x doc. You claimed straight-up doc, as in 'I can protect someone every night' doc. I feel like if you had claimed 1x doc it would not have been as sus. Even with you claiming full doc Supa in particular was starting to notice how excessive healing roles might be balanced by the extra kills that were possible.
Split was basically Tir & Mathiu vs everyone, with a 'core' of Empire characters who couldn't be recruited, the Five Generals who could bar one, and a couple of neutrals like Leon and Joshua and of course Yuber as the wildcard. The idea is that in the game you start out as a fugitive and the whole world is against you, and you have to win allies and defeat enemies.
