“I have come to believe that the motion of the Earth cannot be detected by any optical experiment.”
How I Created the Theory of Relativity, speech at Kyoto University, Japan, December 14, 1922, as cited in Physics Today, August, 1982.

“The struggle, so violent in the early days of science, between the views of Ptolemy and Copernicus would then be quite meaningless. Either CS [coordinate system] could be used with equal justification. The two sentences, “the Sun is at rest and the Earth moves,” or “the Sun moves and the Earth is at rest,” would simply mean two different conventions concerning two different CS.”

A quote from forbes.com:
“General relativity allows the use of any coordinate system. Pick a system in which the center of the Earth is fixed; indeed, it can be a system in which the Earth is not even rotating about its axis. Then you can derive all the equations of motion in this system. In this system, the Sun is moving, not the Earth.”
Another one:
“So it is not wrong to say that the Sun orbits the Earth. It just leads to much more complicated equations that give you no good intuition for the behavior of gravity.”

Just realized I’m debating the person at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Even AI agrees:
“Einstein's theories of gravity and motion suggest that both geocentric (Earth-centered) and heliocentric (Sun-centered) coordinates can be valid, but in practical terms, the Earth orbits the Sun, not the other way around. While Einstein's framework allows for different perspectives, the scientific consensus supports the heliocentric model as the accurate description of our solar system.”
“Albert Einstein suggested that the motion of the Earth cannot be detected by any optical experiment, implying that from a certain perspective, it could be considered at rest while the Sun orbits it. He noted that both the geocentric and heliocentric models could be valid depending on the chosen coordinate system, making the debate somewhat irrelevant in the context of general relativity.” - AI responses
Everyone always takes the more important parts of quotes.
“After the foregoing instructions, baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in living [running] water. If you have no living water, then baptize in other water, and if you are not able in cold, then in warm. If you have neither, pour water three times on the head, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Before baptism, let the one baptizing and the one to be baptized fast, as also any others who are able” (Didache 7:1 [A.D. 70]).
Well, Jesus said to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You cannot be baptized in Jesus’ name if you don’t even do baptism the way He said to do it.
In Acts, it says in the name of Jesus to show there is unity, not to forbid the trinitarian formula. Also, Matthew 28:19 was a direct command from Jesus, while these passages from Acts are just telling what happened.
“Is Christ divided? Was Paul then crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I give God thanks, that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Caius; Lest any should say that you were baptized in my name.” (1 Corinthians 13-15)
“Do all in Jesus’ name” does not mean only do in His name.
If you don’t believe me, go and look up the quotes yourself. I provided links. All honest scientists will admit it is merely done for their godless agenda.
It’s simply ridiculous Hubble didn’t accept the answers. Einstein said both geocentrism and heliocentrism work with general relativity. Heliocentrism is preferred because it works better for the atheistic agenda.
Explain what each side will be arguing. I might be willing to if you define what each side is for.
Not all scripture is symbolic. The millennium is symbolic. The rapture is a misunderstanding of what the scriptures actually say.
Please, everything has an effect on the mind.
Good, I was thinking about deleting this one because no one seemed interested.
You’re welcome
Panda’s explanation was at least better in this one than the other one but still not sure if it’s descriptive enough.
I am reporting Panda’s vote. All it said was “kinda obvious.” That seems very weak. I believe that is enough to have it removed.
I’m a little confused as to what this debate even is. You don’t give any description.
Is this a modalism debate?

My opponent attacks me for using memes but then gets the record for most memes used in a debate on this website. At least you’ll win that.
Atheists won’t be able to use the problem of evil in this debate since Pro already believes the Creator is evil and worships the creature instead.
On whom?
No atheist will debate you since atheists don’t want a burden of proof or even a shared burden of proof. Atheists always want to be on the opposite side of the burden of proof, and they will twist evidence and philosophy to make their opponents have the burden of proof.
Theistic satanist vs atheistic satanist. What the heck bro?
The debate is so bad it’s hidden when I’m not logged in.
I guess
By must, I mean required to exist. Like there couldn’t be a reality or timeline in which it didn’t exist. And atheists accuse us of being idiots
I’ll accept if no one else does and I’m in a good mood.
I mean how you know the universe is the thing that must exist. I believe God to be the one thing that must exist.
What?
