I'm about halfway caught up. I'll claim the second part of my role more fully. I'm a backup for a certain role, meaning I don't have the power yet but I get it after they die. I kinda buy mestaris theory about how your role would be very useful for scum and there is a good chance it is scum aligned and then pies TP theory as well given the mixup in my PM

I'm not always opposed to WIFOM, but there's no circumstance where scum!Me would tell a lie, or truth, that sounds stupid when I know everyone would buy a different lie easily. I knew Mikal was an old head on DDO, so I would have been sure that he at least had heard of Mestari's reputation.

I would like someone to name one possible world in which scum!Thoth would defend that supposed slip with a mixup between Mestari and Helz instead of having asked Mikal during signups who Mestari was.

Make them. Pick whoever to kill in the game but you are confirmed town and force them to follow your word. This removes Mafias decision and instead they have to pick between town choices.

I support this, though it wouldn't be fair for me to only support wylted doing it since he townreads me and Lunatic doesn't.

I'm not clear on what TMI is. Does it mean you said something you should not know if you are town, or does it mean you shared information that could help scum? Or both?

I imagine it is because mikal is a great salesman. I can't get max to do anything, even download a video game to play with me. But I kind of take one "no" for an answer and move on. Mike will beg and spam post til they sign up and he somehow knows how to work max over lol. I see him convince max to do shit all the time lol. As far as the other inactives, they kind of are just always inactive so its nothing new.

I'll shamelessly admit that, as I've said openly before, I prefer playing scum and high activity from me is a mild scumtell, but in this game I've been especially active mainly because I'm excited to have a game on here with this many players.

I think I've been passably active this game, though not with as much analysis as I should expect from myself, but there have been other games where I've been close to incommunicado. Barry was a severe example.

I know I'm not always a paragon of activity, especially at posting reads, but it baffles me why people sign up for a game and then don't participate, at least if they're clearly not too busy in real life to check on the thread.

I don't need an answer now. I just want you to keep thinking about that for when I do confirm.

I said earlier that one of my abilities is potentially kinda-sorta-confirmable, or, if it isn't now, then it could be depending on how things play out. Let's say that I claimed information about your guild that I couldn't have known unless I knew it from an ability or shared scum chat with your recruit. If I did, do you trust your recruits enough that you would see this as confirming me, or would you suspect a mole? Just a yes/no question.

I don't like that I'm being scumread in #814 and I don't agree with all the points against me, but it's a good enough reads list that I can't OMGUS it.

At the risk of one more post that's probably never going to become relevant: If Helz is scum, the only reason I can imagine why he insisted that we post reads is because we were not giving him enough of a challenge. If he flips scum, that probably means that town has been preparing to eat itself and everyone who has been wagoned so far is innocent.

I finally had a chance to put my Prisoner's Dilemma role in a game after waiting for months, and then Wryly waived it and it got roleblocked anyway.

I actually did read through DC Players Mafia (partially because I wanted to see if I'd be included or claimed as a player to sate my ego, partially because it was short enough to read casually)

You were not in the game yourself, but in case you didn't check the endgame thread, your Deltarune game got a shout-out.

It came off more as a defense of herself than a defense of Thoth. "Well if he does flip scum, he still could've gotten the info from somewhere other than me." You don't defend a townie by contradicting their own explanation for their slip-up.

I also wouldn't defend my scummate with an argument more sus than the already dog-ate-my-homework-sounding one I used. I really think it was a pocketing attempt or a misguided defense from a townie whose heart was in the right place. The third explanation is that she was my scummate covering for me, and I just can't see Alyssa defending me that outrageously even as WIFOM. First I say I misremembered something, and then you suggest that I misremembered what I misremembered? Mister Fantastic would be impressed at that reach

And again, if I heard this from Alyssa in scum chat, I would have just said I heard it from Mikal during signups and everyone would have dropped the point instantly.
