If it was Rex and Thoth, Thoth would never have VTL'd Rex in DP1. Bussing seems unlikely, he could easily have just gone inactive like he did for the Mikal lynch.

So Rex wasn't risking blocking a second vision of yours by targeting you. Though it's unclear if he knew that or not.

At this point I can't be sure Thoth is a tracker at all. If his scummate was Magic then his first track results could be fabricated. And this DP he tracked someone who had already posted his movements. Claiming tracker would be a great way to try to tempt me to target him. I almost did.

Well scum has steamrolled town this game, so well done scum.

I protected Magic. Knew either Luna or Thoth was scum. Figured if it was Thoth, they wouldn't NK either me or Luna. That left Rex, RT, and Magic to choose from. Didn't trust Rex. RT's role didn't seem super crucial. Gambled on Magic. Figured 50/50 he was scum but what the hell. If he wasn't he'd be a sure target with all that "I can save it for us DP3" rhetoric. Risky move not claiming until DP3 when everyone else had, and something about the way he went full steam at Mikal DP1 just struck me as unscummy.

So now I know it's either Rex and Luna or Thoth and Magic. Magic, if you're scum, you played well and we who are about to die salute you.

I've been reading Thoth as pretty town so far but I honestly forgot about JOATs. Not a bad point. But I feel like I just have no reason to scumread him at all. His behavior has read townie, his track of Magic is (kind of?) confirmed, and he wasn't on the Mikal bandwagon.

The imbalance argument is meh. Rex's role is barely investigative. As for "there are three protective roles", Rex's power could only stop a kill if it was delivered via power, like poisoner or something, and he'd die in the process. That's pretty weak. Mikal could only stop an NK if he baited scum, and he could also cost town two kills for the price of one. Having a doctor this game makes sense to me.

I'll also argue I only "went with the flow" for the Mikal vote, which you also "went with the flow" on.

You've been kind of all over the place. First going at the dreamer, now going at the only other person in the three with a vote already there. I've said before you were behaviorally null to me and only your role was sus. Now I'm more confident in a vote.

So if Rex had targeted scum NP1 he'd be dead and we'd have no idea who he targeted or what scum power got blocked. Still seems... suboptimal.
