After Magic's lynch I knew it was either Magic/you or Magic/Thoth. If it had been Magic and you, Rex wouldn't have survived his visit to you NP2. So I knew Thoth was scum. He wouldn't want me dead, it would out him by POE.

Then it was a count flip between protecting you or Rex. Would Thoth think he had a better chance of convincing you to lynch me or convincing Rex to lynch me? Probably you. You had townread him pretty hard DP3 while Rex had scumread him DP3.

If I have vastly misread this and it turns out to be Luna/Magic I will, of course, be moving to Siberia.

Up to you now. I protected Rex last NP. That he died anyway means Thoth's power has a roleblocker. Probably no tracker element to it at all. He only ever tracked his own scummate and someone who'd already declared who he visited. I VTL'd Magic, Thoth waffled.

I've literally never seen this mirror maker role used EVER in any game.

Okay I thought this was a common role. If it's not it sounds like he's just reaching.

If it was me and Rex I wouldn't have VTL'd him DP1. Also why would Rex confirm Luna as town, that turns up the heat on me.

#68, something about a mirror maker that hit WF and bounced back on Rex and Magic both.

If Thoth is telling the truth, then the only role that could've possibly redirected me to myself is a Mirror Maker placed on Whiteflame, at which point Rex should've had his roleblock bounced back at himself, which is something I completely missed last DP (which is why I just realized I didn't need to wait on Thoth). This would easily make him the teammate, and the claim was simply something he pulled out of his ass. I've realized that although Rex is more passive of a player, it doesn't mean he can't try something when he's almost certainly going to be the lynch.

I can buy him taking risks if there's something to gain by it. What is there to gain from placing a scummate in POE? Generating doubt that they're scummates? How could that be worth it. The chances of it hurting outweigh the chances of it helping.

Yeahhh only now realizing I didn't understand how NKs work at all. I thought scum like submitted their NK decision to the moderator and the moderator basically carried it out. I did not think one scum or the other executed it or that it was a traceable visit like any role action, or that a roleblock stops it.

If it was Magic and Thoth I wonder what the theme split is. There's nothing apparently in common with Erak Starfollower and Gilan.

I was aware of the possibility of this ending the game but I was willing to gamble on it because it was critical to lynch scum next DP, and if Luna was scum he would probably carry out the NK to avoid his teammate from doing anything incriminating.

The fact the Luna was roleblocked would also confirm to him that I visited him if he were town. So I feel like if he were scum and creating this false POE my targeting him would stop the NK and kill me, allowing me to be tracked to him if Thoth and Wryly were town.

So you didn't know that Luna was a 1x Dreamer, meaning he wouldn't be aware of being roleblocked at all and this tactic was for naught.

Also not clear on how targeting Luna would stop the NK if Luna was scum.
