Politics has slogged through the mud before, and has managed to survive. Ours is not a completely clean, muck-free political journey in America. It's just that politics, as an entity of society, is being way to kind to itself calling itself a "science." That science is supposed to be in an effort to discover societal truth from mere theory. In America, that effort is unniquely stated, in the Constitution's Preamble, to be an effort "to form a more perfect union" than any yet devised in the history of man. "More perfect" is exactly what it says: an effort to improve our society. Perfection is not a destination; it is a never-ending process, meaning that perfection comes in small, foreward steps toward being better today than yesterday. That comes only by correct application of theories of societal cooperation, not by blind activation of theorey with no effort to seek to do it better today than yesterday, and that is why politics is not, and never will be science until it does try to work upon the road of what theory to truth requires.

This is becoming evident even among some, or a few, Demnocrat leaders. Unfortunately, it appears most of these with eyes open are not currently elected officials at any level, but older guys like Oba'a. There is a factor at play here that is undeniable: elected people, particularly in the repetitive environment of Congress, are so consumed with re-election, they ignore what they were elected to accomplish. Their voters are beginning to catch up with that flaw, and I predict those most anxious for re-election and most incapable of doing their elected jobs, will be voted out of those jobs. "You can't keep the people down on the farm [or in the elite boardroom] once they have seen Paris" so is claimed. One definitive thing the Internet has created: eyes on Paris from just about anywhere in the world, and certainly in the U.S.

"Experience" is an activity that is now capable of having, even by remote, to a degree never before possible. "Ben there - done that" is now virtual reality - good enough for the farm and the boardroom.

Pritzker [D-IL Gov] is mental, himself, making what should be voluntary a mandatory mental evaluation of students in IL, and thinking this ought to be pressed nationwide.

Children are very impressionable; the younger, the more. Making mental eval mandatory for all IL students is a complete dismissal of common sense. I say put Pritzker through it, first, and dump him regardless of results. This kind of mandatory testing should defer to parents, but then, it seems more Dems than eve of the opinion that gov't owns children, like many think it owns everything else.

Socialism is a losing argument, period.

My personal belief is that human language is a product of culture relative to the chicken/egg question. The chicken is culture, a product of even rudimentary civilization.

Legislation will never enable control of human behavior realtrive tor control of human use of tools, such as bay an effort to ban guns. First of all, no one has been able to successfully define a particular tool: the "assault weapon." Without proper definition, how do we legislate its control. Nope.

And then, there is the issue of trying to "control" by the tool's complete ban. That will not solve the problem, either, because if we ban assault weapons, we'll just use a different tool to eliminate our perceived problems with other people. A spoon can kill. Are we going to ban spoons? That's the paradigm, boys and girls. Useless.

And then, there's the effort to control human behavior by legislation. That has been tried unsuccessfully ever since the ancient Greeks decided to legislate all crime as punishable by death. Nope, that was just a civilization-killer. Not the right answer.

So, what is the3 answer, you who seek to ban guns altogether? Back to the spoon? Absurd.

I have read the Holy Bible, and then Torah, cover-to-cover in four languages: English, French, Greek, Italian. They are not identical, word-for-word. Even just in Engish, there are over 2 dozen separate translations.

I have read the Quran cover-to-cover in 2 languages, English and French. Same consequence as above.

I have read the Tripitaka [Buddhism] in English. It's original language is Pali, an ancient Indian tongue similar to Sanskrit. I'll wager it's translation to English is also fraught with changes.

Yet, all are considered holy writ, subject to mistranslation, either by error, or deliberate or coerced deception.

So, let's not get too wrapped up accusing any of these religions for being heretics not worth the time to investigate. There is a source to go to to inquire what is, and is not true. That source would be wisely consulted. I'd say those who scoff at religion are the heretics.

I have repeatedly used the term, “group-think,” mostly in relation to Communism, but that is only because commies are fond of ignoring individual accomplishment. However, there are times people assume any group, political, social, religious, academic, sports… are in group-think mode all the time. We all do this from time to time. We think, “Those Dems are all crazy. They all voted for Kamala.” No, they all did not. I know Dems who voted for four separate people, two I know even voted for Biden and 1 for Trump. Same with the other candidates on the ballot in 24, and some write-ins. We cannot assume every group is n group-think, just to have a convenient box in which to put people with whom we disagree.

Very quietly, since the 70s, my wife has been easily collecting ordinary, but old US minted coins just out of spare change from ordinary retail cash register coinage, and decided a couple of weeks ago to invest in a microscope built specifically for the high magnification of coinage. She has discovered that just by simple acquisition of these coins, she has a few which qualify for value serious collectors are will to pay big bucks for her coins, I.m taking tens of thousands od dollars. The first few coins by the the microscope covered the cost of the device, and she still has hundreds of coins she has not yet reviewed. I'm very proud of my bride. Her investment has already recovered enough value out of coins of face value of not more than 26 cents that will cover a vacation in Paris in September [both our birthdays are then] of 2026. Can't do it this year because of my recent knee surgery. Save your coins, guys. You may have a minor fortune in your pocket.

We've had plenty of wealthy presidents, so whey is it Trump who is willing, and has secured other private donors, to fund this project rather than taxpayers?

Considering that we have had green energy around for nearly 100 years [assuming bio-fuel is considered green], and it only conrtributes little more than 20% of the grid, please tell me how green is going to lead the charge?

In recovery of my recent knee surgery, I have been prescribed oxycodone to address the occasional pain I am suffering since the knee requires aggressive physical therapy more so than almost any other joint than the hips, which are in virtual constant use, as well. Oxy is a great pain reliever, but one of its severe side-effects is the easy ability it causes to become addicted to its use - a terrible demon. My fear of addiction is extreme, and to counter that potential, I spread the dosage rate - sometimes too severely, causing greater pain than if I took the prescribed dosage rate. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I never take an over-dose for fear of addiction more easily. One of its other side-effects is excessive stupidity, at least for me. I know it's side-effects vary among users; this is mine I abhor the feeling of a blank head, and with the amount of reading that I do, a blank head is a curse I also abhor.

Many people lose their faith even after spending years in faith and devotion to him, but falter, and blame him when something bad happens to them or someone they love, wondering how a loving God can allow such suffering to fall upon them, as if suffering is deserved only by those who ignore or despise hmmm already, or deny his existence. They will, themselves, some of them, deny his existence when they observe that apparently good things [fame, fortune] happen to evil people.

I will just say, now, that I do not agree these are reasons to deny God, but I'll wait fir your comments for a while before revealing my reasons for continuing to affirm his existence, and even direct involvement in our lives.

Simple question, but one which many people believe is factual. I do not. What are your thoughts and why? I will reveal my thinking on it by and by.

While it's not precisely known, what is estimated to be the percentage of the human genome that is physically expressed? This means it is actively transcribed into RNA, which is the single strand of our double-helix DNA molecule. An RNA single strand is that which is encoded in each ovum and sperm that contributes to the conception of each of us as a living being. That means every single ovum and perm we produce is not identical. RNA includes protein-coding regions (genes) and other functional elements involved in regulating gene expression and other cellular processes.The rest of the genome, often referred to as non-coding DNA, is thought to play various regulatory roles or have unknown functions. But, contrary to popular expression today, and according to the Human Genome project, concluded in 2003, not a single bit of it defines racial features. Zero. Nada. Oops.

I have my own belief on "racial" origin, but I'll hold it until later on in this string.

Lots of choices like that which seem binary truly have multiple choices. So why do we consider one;y a binary world of choices?

While DebateArt was still in operation, I engaged in a debate challenged by Moozer325 back in May regarding the Resolve: "The Tariffs imposed by Trump in his second term have had a negative effect on our economy so far."

Moozer was Pro; I was Con. He made the debate a very short term affair, with consideration for "a negative effect" from only beginning of February to mid April, during which time, the Market [Dow] took a brief dive, recovered, and exceed the level reached before the dive - all in a few weeks. Considering the longterm investment the Dow is supposed to be observed, and not merely in days, I felt the effect was negligible, if measurable at all, since in days, the Dow had recovered, and still is. And that was my point then and now: the tariffs have turned out to be a blockbuster in investment. If you're still around, Moozer, even under another username, what do you think? With an acutely dismal-capable forensics, the Democrat Party autopsy of the 24 election failure will conclude:

With the recent revelation of Oba'a-complicity in the whole Russia-Russia-Russia hoax, it's time to reveal the true conspiracy that Oba'a announced in his initial presidential campaign of 2008 in which he said: “We [I] will fundamentally change America.”

He has, to date, succeeded, and here's why:

1. 2016: Once it was determined that Hillaryous Ballon Girl and Trump would battle for the presidency, and with Oba'a soon to be an ex-President, havng shot his load for 2 terms, and, having no love-loss for either Hillaryous or Biden, his soon-to-be former VP, or Trump, Oba'a hatched the plan to subvert the 2016 election. Biden desperately wanted to be that candidate, but forces beyond his control said no. Oba'a truly did not care who might win the election, and, to him, it did not matter. It is said the Russsia-Russia-Russia hoax was the invention of Hillareyous Balloon Girl, but she is not, much as she tried, the smartest woman in the room. This was, again, Oba'a, hatchling. He would undermine either candidate, and prsident-elect by launch of the R-R-R hoax. Either one would be unable to combat the conspiracy. Well, Hillaryous lost, and, why not: She planted Trump square in the middle of her campaign: “Love Trumps Hate.” Remember that one? The worst possible campaign slogan she could devise. It bombed, if course. And thus, Oba'a lunched R-R-R against pres-elect Trump.
2. 2017 Immediate impeachment against Trump, beginning with the WaPo headline on Jan 20, when Trump's only “high-crime” was walking in a parade hand-in-hand with his wife. Then the one-per-month scandals began against Trump, from R-R-R to pee tapes to impeachment in keystone cop charges to… All meddling to prevent the Trump agenda by Oba'a.

You know the rest of the story for four yeas, to the improbable election of JoeBiden in 2020, who drew in tens to his camapign rallies compared to tens of thousands to Trump's. Rally attendees are actual voters, and Trump had them in spades. But Voting is voting and vote counting is a completely different animal, and tens turned into 1M votes for Biden, plus 80M bot-votes. [bought?] Whatever, Biden was not going to be the president but by name, anyway. The real Pres had his hand thrust up Biden's blowhole to move his mouth for four years…Oba'a.
