I can't see why crude oil will not exist forever; it is, coincidentally, an organic product that never has stopped production underground even though greenies claim it stopped production millions of years ago, but that was just calculation misapplied to convince us it is a finite product - good for their advertising, but a flawed concept. Very quietly, since the 70s, my wife has been easily collecting ordinary, but old US minted coins just out of spare change from ordinary retail cash register coinage, and decided a couple of weeks ago to invest in a microscope built specifically for the high magnification of coinage. She has discovered that just by simple acquisition of these coins, she has a few which qualify for value serious collectors are will to pay big bucks for her coins, I.m taking tens of thousands od dollars. The first few coins by the the microscope covered the cost of the device, and she still has hundreds of coins she has not yet reviewed. I'm very proud of my bride. Her investment has already recovered enough value out of coins of face value of not more than 26 cents that will cover a vacation in Paris in September [both our birthdays are then] of 2026. Can't do it this year because of my recent knee surgery. Save your coins, guys. You may have a minor fortune in your pocket.

I don't think there ever was purpose to eliminate suffering, just to ease its impact, as well as to ultimately end it altogether, but not in this life. I think that is a falascious idea that suffering was supposed to end. That is not an eartly event, but one of heaven, and we are not there, yet. That would deny us free will. Some people use their agency to cause suffering of others, and God allows that, or he would be guilty of blocking free will, and he will not do that. Besides, God is not the cause of suffering just because he allows it. That's not a root cause because it is not his doing in the first place; it is ours, or it is chaos in nature. No, nature is not in perfect balance.

I'll agree that both political parties make a news cycle shooting themselves in the foot; that's the nature of politics. I thought it was hilarious to call it "political science: when I was in high school, being a credentialed degree in college, only to find out later in high school that it became such in the 19th century. Science? That sure took that topic down a few notches. Lately, the Democrats seems to have heightened the drama by shooting themselves in the head. That's more permanent than a simple 24 hours.

In recovery of my recent knee surgery, I have been prescribed oxycodone to address the occasional pain I am suffering since the knee requires aggressive physical therapy more so than almost any other joint than the hips, which are in virtual constant use, as well. Oxy is a great pain reliever, but one of its severe side-effects is the easy ability it causes to become addicted to its use - a terrible demon. My fear of addiction is extreme, and to counter that potential, I spread the dosage rate - sometimes too severely, causing greater pain than if I took the prescribed dosage rate. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I never take an over-dose for fear of addiction more easily. One of its other side-effects is excessive stupidity, at least for me. I know it's side-effects vary among users; this is mine I abhor the feeling of a blank head, and with the amount of reading that I do, a blank head is a curse I also abhor.

Money is merely another commodity for sale, like cars and bananas. I choose those two commodities randomly, but, thinking about them, neither are completely satisfying choices to make. Once a banana is eaten [and I can't really think of another thing to do with one] it is consumed and forgotten. Yes, it provides nutrruents to my body, but maybe I don't like the taste. I do, but there those who do not, I'm sure. A car is great driven off the car lot, but I've had my Dodge Ram for 24 years. I still like it, it gets me around, but it's not the pride of my life, I just chose when I bought it to drive to ground, but it refuses to die. They are both necessary, but replaceable commodities, and so is money. None of it is worth more than my life.
